it hurts to see nonbinary ppl continue to be invalidated. we are just as trans as those who fully transition to fit into the binary. ppl are allowed to have complicated & unique identities and not use HRT for medical, social, or personal reasons. if you don’t understand it you have no room to judge.

David Lynch spent the last portion of his life in isolation. He said it was due to being high-risk and unable to risk getting COVID. He’s not the only person with disability or illness who’s been left behind. Everywhere you go without an n95 is a place you’ve decided disabled people don’t belong.

I am tired of seeing takes like “Those people didn’t have insurance? Seems dumb!” Especially from non-Americans. Because our government fails to properly regulate the insurance industry, our premiums soar. Policies are dropped for no reason, and in some places you’re lucky to get a policy.

The videos coming out of the California fires are heartbreaking. Remember that when you see people running for their cars, or jumping on bikes to flee the fires … what you don’t see are the disabled people who can’t run. Who can’t drive. Who can’t flee in a hurry. We need help to escape.
