It’s not exactly the same but similar to Team USA in the WBC this year, they were so over serious and could barely crack a smile (at the time I called it “if an HOA meeting was a baseball team”) while other teams treated it like a big party.

If I squint I can see it. Eyanson and Witherspoon both feel like major leaguers but you never know, Eyanson seems like a TJ candidate in the next 18 months (always seems to happen). Adley’s minimum ceiling is an All-Star catcher, those don’t grow on trees

Is Adley going to play 100 games total for the Sox? A catcher with recent injury issues makes me nervous. I thought it was savvy to trade Early when his value was probably its highest, especially after missing some other players’ value ceilings, but I would’ve loved to see these guys develop

I just don’t think he’s going to play enough games for the Sox to justify the package. Prospects don’t always work out but I feel like Eyanson had a rocket strapped to him. Witherspoon could work out but has been a fizzle so far. Heard nothing but great stuff about Azocar.
