The fab four took a tumble earlier. Now rebuilt. Glad I remembered where the box and instructions were.

Livie is the daily driver round here. That means she gets a tad neglected in the washing and polishing departnent. I put that to rights on Tuesday and now I feel guilty as she scrubs up really quite well.
Livie the Triumph 1300 after a spruce up.

@parodypm.bsky.social arrived at Clacton last night on the paddle steamer Waverley. No welcome committee no, civic reception, not even an angry mob in primark balaclavas. Poor show all round. Just tumbleweed blowing through and a shut chip shop.

Brilliant day on the Waverley today. Down the Thames Estuary, into the North Sea then Southend and up the Blackwater to see Ross Revenge and then a coach back from Clacton. (No sign of Nige to greet us) Just dropped @janorak.bsky.social home after a fish and chip supper.

Last week the faithful Kenwood Chef A701A made 10 cakes and 3 loaves of bread. This evening something let go in the gearbox. All the spares are available.

On the @gailmyerscough.co.uk slipmat augmented turntable tonight. @davidbowiereal.bsky.social Toy. A work he was so proud of but was supressed until after he passed away. I like to think it was the man himself who leaked the bootleg to the internet back in the day.

Hi Cathy, Have you heard of the Radio Ballads? It was a series made in the 60s around the traditional industries. www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/radio... The most well known is The Big Hewer about the mines. It is here on Youtube. youtu.be/mf7LuLSJBLM?... I am lucky enough to have the album.

I have fitted countless bluetooth boards for people over the last few years. Oldest car radio I fitted one to was out of a '55 Studebaker. All valve with vibrator HT which had to be replaced with a solidstate version. Virtually every capacitor was shot in the thing.

Yay, I am lucky here that 648 blasts in. It is only 4KW ERP from Orfordness. The site and antenna is the best in the UK but even so by the time you got home you were probably 175 miles from the site. Ofcom have been asked if the wick can be turned up. The TX is capable of 25KW.

Here is the Radiomobile in my Triumph 1300. It was the radio fitted in my first car when I got it in 1987. I revived it from its nearly 40 year slumber to fit a bluetooth card and install it in the 1300 it came on straight away on 558 KHz now Panjab radio in London. Caroline's frequency in 1987.

They are all pretty bad but Evri takes the crown. Temp lad from the Royal Mail spent a couple of minutes trying to force a larve jiffy bag through our Victorian letterbox. Looked Terrified when I opened the door. When I asked why he didn't ring he said he could not find the door bell.

They had a stamp moistener and what people were coming up with was a joy. I remember using one when I was small. I had to go into the office with my mum in school holidays and would get given the job of putting stamps on the letters. I got a whole book token at the end of the week.

Thank you. I am glad you remember it. Sadly she does little of that sort of thing now astge work was too unpredictable. Works as a Heritage officer for the Canal and River Trust. Here is another of her casts from a clay sculp.

I still have the one my daughter SJ made. Wire and air dry clay for the sculp, silicone mould material and resin to cast and gold paint. No AI required, just patience and talent.

I am proud to say my daughter SJ (in profile pic) helped construct the Trojan horse that was a forward offensive in the battle to stop them taking BP money in 2020. Something that they have at least now done.

I live on the Corbett estate and the Plesaunce is such a sanctury 5 mins up the road. My 50th birthday present from my son was a one off bootleg of Sandy Denny Live at Well Hall.. He took the pictures, did the art work and got the records pressed. Only copy like it in the world.
