I rarely buy from Amazon - it's a place of last resort. This list appears to have been populated because I bought a naked portafilter and a can of La Tourangelle Pistachio Oil (I couldn't find either locally). Amazon doesn't know much more about me, and I plan to keep it that way. Duck Duck Go FTW.

PAM for baking, spray more than you think you need, and pray. I do a lot of baking in Bundts (I’m in MN - it’s practically the law), and I’ve tried everything. PAM for baking has been the best to date, about 90% clean releases. Sometimes the baking gods are just not with you, however.

My cat Barney has a thing about swinging doors: he can open them, but only in one direction. He will go through the swinging door into the kitchen, then meow plaintively from the other side until someone opens it. Maybe it’s the orangeness.

Reminds me of my favorite photo of my grandfather, who was a great guy notwithstanding this depiction:

I had a lovely chopped salad for lunch and was thinking to myself “I always eat healthier when when I work from home home“ - but then I remembered I had two pieces of strawberry rhubarb pie for breakfast so… (my husband ate some too, I didn’t eat all of what’s missing)

In 16 years, none of our cats ever escaped the screened porch. That changed today with this guy, who ripped the *metal* screen. Luckily the neighbor saw him & texted my husband. The vet tech was right - at his last appointment she said "He looks naughty." 😂 (We have reinforced the screen with wire.)

As Paul Hollywood would say, it’s a little “rough & ready.” Framboisier from the most recent episode of GBBO. Genoise sponge, pistachio crème mousseline, fresh raspberries. I didn’t attempt the sugar dome because I didn’t have the equipment & I piped roses because fondant tastes like 💩.

I currently have a dozen (gulp) cats because we took in a pregnant friendly stray and she had five kittens.

Five 8 day old kittens in a cuddle puddle. One is a gray tabby, one is tortoise shell, and three are mostly black with white paws.

My husband and I did not need one more cat. That's why we got one that's pregnant. 😳 A friend asked us if we could look at a friendly stray that had been hanging around after the neighbor turned it out. As soon as I touched her belly I knew why. Meet Polly Pickles, lucky feline #7. Need a GoFundMe.

Meet Polly Pickles, a small black polydactyl cat with a large belly - because it's full of kittens - who is now safe and sound. She's looking up pensively while checking out her new surroundings and plush cat bed. Polly is settling in nicely.
