iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Guy downstairs was talking to someone about his condo the first days I was here (near as I can tell). Now someone is taking pics. Think it's going up for sale? Hope not-he's super quiet

Decided to start unfollowing every politician who consistently posts "We need to..." and "I did XYZ" or "My XYZ...". They just don't get it and I don't have time to read their self congratulations.

And now Harry Belafonte, Banana Boat. Isn't it great when you love a song and/or artist & learn after that what an amazing person the singer/writer was?

080

You guys, check this out!! So jealous!

One of my favorite music videos ever. Chilling with YouTube music and Socks cozied up to me

Hadn't heard how the walk through went but found out ~2 hrs ago that it closed. Maybe I've finally made a good financial decision & am in a good place to end my days. Disability approaches far more quickly than I ever thought it would, given how active I was through my mid-50's. This is it for me!

They’re back!! Have a heck of a time capturing them clearly through the window and screen but so big and so pretty!

Dying because 5 people blocked me after I posted the pizza pic. Guessing they're not fans of American democracy 😈

Just found out closing is at 3:30 today on the house-super excited!! Another hiccup w/the dishwasher, so final install is tomorrow. 10/5 for the 93" tall wardrobe install. Then electric repair on 10/6 (need to find light fixtures). So much to manage/coordinate when moving!!

Just ordered delivery of a gluten free pizza and salad from a place I just love. Like, just sitting here and ordered and then it'll be delivered! Three freaking years of not being able to get delivery & now I just call & voila! On the way! Gawd, I love the metro

The best about the weekend is that the Dow doesn't tank like it does during the week now. 🤬🤬 Greedy Republicans just crushing the middle class (and always & forever crushing the lower class)

Also bathroom work this a.m. Shower rod was a bear! The endcaps absolutely don't fit & a part keeps coming loose. Hoping it stays up. Showerhead is leaking, dangit. Doesn't call for plumbers tape, but added it & it helps a bit, but still a flow of water from the connection. Got nasty med cabinet out

Added a curved shower rod. Oddly, I'm having trouble finding a clear medium weight shower curtain, so I'm using an old thick one I had been using to do remodeling projects on. So it's a bit worse for wear

Got the cabinet out, but slipped with the blade when cutting the caulk & paint & cut the wall, so will need to fix that boo-boo

I do love having a shower wand because it's so easy to keep the shower/tub clean. You just scrub & then take the shower head down (it's magnetized to the holder) & spray off the soap. Voila! Clean shower/tub! I really don't want to use any kind of sealant on the thread to the pipe, so not sure what I'm going to do. The one at the house (was there when I bought the place) does the same thing

Went for a tiny "thinking walk" (so tired!) & realized that I need to ensure I have access to the bath plumbing panel in the bedroom closet. Also wanted pants racks. Sooo, had to cancel the Ikea order & created a custom wardrobe & got a dresser that I can move aside if needed (will change handles)

Nightstand I ordered since I'm using the side tables in the living room

Going to have to change out those handles, ick. Gold color anything now makes me think of Trump. Uh uh

Ok, so this is the wardrobe I designed. The dresser will fit pretty nicely beside it in the closet & I can pull the dresser out if I ever need to access the bathtub/shower plumbing

Ta da! Shoe rack, 2 pants racks & one hanging rod for tops. All my long closes & coats will be in the closets in the living room and entryway. This is pretty small, but all that will fit without blocking the access panel. Could always get another if it's too small, but I don't have many clothes I wear (gained too much weight, can't stand shopping now)

Hmmm. Guessing there ARE birds in the trees

Still a work in progress (how to get to the blinds to close them & kitty feeding stations that are a bit separated). But feels less cluttered w/cords not in view from the living room. Bonus-I get to look out the windows when I'm working. Put a cat stand on the right of the desk for cat work station

Wide angle view of dining room from the living room. Desk now faces two of the three windows in the condo. Stuff like an electric fireplace & rowing machine are awkwardly set against a baseboard heater next to the windows

View of same dining room, looking from a different angle in the living room. The opening to the galley kitchen can be seen to the right of the viewer. The end of the wall that separates the kitchen and living room can just be seen to the right, with a cardboard cat scratcher against that wall

A good thing about downsizing is that one small air purifier with a lovely scented candle on top takes care of stinky litter box smell (letter box is next to the couch)

Always like to share when someone makes a point that I wish I could have expressed & is exactly how I feel, too

Those who are succinct are thriving on social media. I am not one of those people 😆

Lots to do today! Need to get the boxes unpacked. 1 bd condo is simply too small to have boxes around. Bathroom fixtures are today (how do people clean the shower without hand held shower heads??) And a curved shower curtain rod is a must! Rusty medicine cabinet needs to go...

Most cat households everywhere: I used to have cats. But then I vacuumed 🙀

Second post then I'm going to nap and/or eat 😆 See alt text (sorry, I use it to give more info but not really describe the way a visually impaired person may find helpful. I'm uh....too verbose for social media)

Took pics of absolutely everything since I'll never be there again (hopefully!). Posting maybe some angles/areas I haven't shown before. I did work on pretty much every room/area of the house. See alt text 😊

Needed to charge Zippy so decided to stop at the cafe with gluten free food one last time. Getting a BLT and tots to fuel the cleaning spree 😁

Please excuse the clutter but I feel so lucky to have found a place that allows 3 cats & is so peaceful. She’s just so happy here! I can’t even describe how happy she’s making me. Can’t wait to get back tonight after cleaning & snuggle more with her

Like some kind of living green opal (if such a thing existed).

The tricky part is continually flattering him so you stay in his tiny narcissistic attention zone

Need to head to UPS to drop off my cashiers check to cover the short sale, then final house cleaning (& get the last of my stuff), but I think that can all wait just a bit

This Baby Seal Needed Help Fast

I can't decide if they sound more like sheep or goats? (The guys who do the rescues & remove the entanglements sure seem like nice, caring guys in every video) www.youtube.com/watch?v=tUSm...

Needed a break so decided to leave everything as it is for tonight. Tomorrow I have to head to Faribault again & grab the last of my stuff & do the final cleaning. I think that'll be the last time I have to do that drive. Won't miss being stuck in the freeway construction shutting down most lanes

Omg! You guys! Depositions today were cancelled & im unexpectedly working from home and look who was out back!! Omg! Sorry it gets blurry. Phone focused on the screen

Pics of "how it's going". Now I'm going to find something super stupid to watch & immerse myself in not thinking 😆

Went to sign the closing documents & there are FOUR errors. Total overcharge: $1250. Didn't sign those! Looks like 2nd half taxes were paid to the county 9/9 out of escrow, but being charged to me again in closing. Few other minor issues *Always* read docs. Condo closing had 1 very minor error, too

She’s so happy! And check out her peaceful view

By the way, remember how I've been watching Project Farm videos & getting some products he reviewed (& I signed up to support his channel for $5/month)? The ZeroWater pitcher is amazing! The water is SO good! Very hard water both at the house & condo. Definitely recommend the product

Ha! Such a perfect comment on the desperate grift that is the Republican party

PAX / BERGSBO wardrobe combination, gray-beige gray-beige/oak effect, 727/8x235/8x931/8"

Another good day, yay! Best part was finding out I'd paid more on the house than I thought, so my closing will be about $1,500 less. I used that to get this wardrobe (similar to the ones I got for the house since the bedroom had no closet). WITH assembly! A first!! www.ikea.com/us/en/p/pax-...

All of my BlueSky cat pals will understand that my top priority today was getting to the bed/bedframe to get it back up because Nanny always hides under the bed when she's scared & Newton hides under the covers ON the bed. The blanket fort was using the carriers, which isn't so great if you're a cat

280

Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

Just unpacked 7 large and 2 1/2 small boxes to find my Keurig. No way I was going without coffee another morning. Because....☕☕☕ Still haven't found the cat's food dishes (so I'm rewashing what I used yesterday/today-really need to call HomeDepot to get the final dishwasher install)

Got the BEST news today! The cloud of bad luck finally lifted! Found out about 90 mins ago that the appraisal was high enough. But best part is she isn't requiring any additional repairs! So it was just $900 I'm so beat-I want to catch up on everyone, but will have to wait till tomorrow eve

Aaand 7 hours later. Socks just loves all the boxes and stuff to jump in and wander in between. Nanny’s kinda having fun, too

2100

Forgot to do a video before I did anything and didn’t get all the stacked stuff super well. Anyway, how the condo started today. Next up, where I’m at 7 hours later. Basically just tried to make it so I can get to all the rooms

Socks is out exploring too but I’m not sure where she went. Nanny was snuggling me earlier. They’ll freak out tomorrow when the movers show up but doubt moving in will take too long.

Heard some noise and look who came out!
