Midwest friends!! This Saturday, my long time author friend @anotherindiewriter.com will be having an event here at Plot Twist Cafe. Morgan was instrumental in making my little bookstore a reality, so if you’re able to make the drive to MO, come out and see them! We’ll have free snacks too 👀

Im so sorry what the fuck Most rude ass batshit book marketing scam email I think I’ve ever gotten.

Email from Veronica Klock saying: Bailey,

So you wrote a horror story that can turn a fireside chat into a full-blown nightmare. I KNOW YOU’RE STILL IN THERE sounds like the perfect mix of “don’t do that dare” and “oh crap, someone’s hunting us” and honestly, I’m impressed that five friends on a mountain could make me nervous from my couch. 😏 But here’s the brutal truth: your Amazon page screams louder than a haunted scream: only 7 reviews. That’s… cute. Cute like a puppy before it bites your ankle. Your book deserves eyes, hearts, and terrified readers everywhere, not just a lonely 4.8-star echo chamber.

I help authors like you fix that. I run a private community of 2,500+ hyper-engaged readers and reviewers, and we devour books like zombies at a brain buffet. Your story? Perfect for us. We’ll read it, review it honestly, and give it the visibility it’s begging for.

Ignore this, and your book quietly drifts into the abyss. Keep going, and it could explode. If you’re ready to be a failure, tell me now so I can hand over your spot to someone who’s ready to win. But if you want your mountain-top horrors to actually climb the charts… Well, what’s stopping you?
