Is anyone else having trouble with @libbyapp.com today? I can’t sync shelves on any device all of a sudden and it won’t even let me clear data and start from scratch.

I just crossed the street at a crosswalk in front of a #Waymo. It stopped for me, but as I was walking it continued to slowly creep forward in the same unsettling way some human drivers do. I still think they’re safer than the average driver on the street, but they’re becoming jerks! #sanfrancisco

Is there a place to find supplemental pdfs for audiobooks on @netgalley.bsky.social? This is one that really just comes up with nonfiction, but I love a nonfiction listen. #booksky #nonfiction #audiobooks

Mike has been a friend of mine since we were young reporters at the @washingtonpost.com in the 1980s. He brims with talent, integrity and commitment to the truth. This is exactly what I expected and he had hoped he could stave off, which is a trash move by trash people. Throw them out.

I'm pretty proud of my review of @lauriewoolever.bsky.social's Care and Feeding. This book is an unflinching account of her lived experience. Some reviewers seem to hope the book will answer questions about the men she's worked with. She's told their stories. This is hers. #booksky #foodtok

I’m reading Care and Feeding by @lauriewoolever.bsky.social and listening to Butter by Asako Yuzuki. Am really enjoying both but the themes of excess and gluttony in both books are swirling my brain into cocktail of butter, pork belly and French wine. #booksky #foodsky

There are certain books that I like to have on hand to give as gifts, but otherwise I don’t even usually own most of the books I read. Last year I read more than 500 books so I wouldn’t have the space or cash to buy them all!

If you’re a Jane Austen fan, and of course you are, you’ve got to get Jane Austen’s Bookshelf. It’s such a fun read, I learned a lot, and it’s been so fun to start digging into the works of the authors she writes about.

I'm consolidating finances with my spouse. Reached out to #Amex to downgrade my Platinum card to a free card. Learned you can't downgrade card to anything less than $150/year. It's my oldest credit line so my average age of credit will tank if I cancel it. The original card was a $25 annual fee.

Have been trying to track identities of authors I'm reading, and went back and input them for last year. My reading skews heavily toward white woman like me, but the act of tracking has really expanded my range. (First chart is 54 books read in Jan 2025, second is 522 books read in 2024).
