MAGA claims are made for TV, not the courtroom. My guess is credentials will be restored for these outlets, and the bumbling regime will try and fail to keep it quiet.

Maybe, but I doubt it. I think his whole independent brand will depend on not playing nice with either party. But as someone who supports Democrats going into this election, his ability to reduce the number of Republicans is valuable enough.

Elect Republicans, and watch them all move forward after the election.

John Kelly @bahua.com · 20/09/2026
Yeah, Dan Osborn is pretty fiercely independent. I think it's possible he won't caucus with either party, unless his support is what determines which has the majority. I think he will probably win, and because of his independence, will be extremely difficult to unseat in future elections.

SC, FL, and NE will be very difficult seats for the GOP to hold too. They're spending money in places they've never had to, to shore up support that's just not there anymore.

KS, SC, and NE are all competitive too.

Don't forget this little nugget: if you believe in the human rights of the Palestinian people, you obviously hate all Jews everywhere, forever.

I voted for you before, and I'll vote for you again.

That's the same dynamic. Hostility to Democrats is the MAGA "objectivity." It's performance for an audience of one, but it will never work.

John Kelly @bahua.com · 20/09/2026
True, but that's because Welker's producers want the show to appear "neutral" and they think that means allowing people to come on and lie. ABC/Disney on the other hand, have largely(but not entirely) given up on the fiction that this will placate Trump. So they're calling out the lies.

These talking points get distributed in MAGA world, and regurgitated all week, giving good journalists like Karl plenty of opportunity to slap them down on his show.

Demonstrating a national security requirement for a sniper nest next to a cemetery is a pretty tall order. I think any legal challenge would have a better than even chance of preventing it, and potentially also the general construction of the arch.

John Kelly @bahua.com · 20/09/2026
Don't announcements like this just invite legal action that can slow his plans down at a time when time is the one thing he doesn't have?

It's almost as if this isn't what the voters are concerned about.

Despite how much the tech oligarchs would like you to believe it, AI doesn't have its own will. It didn't, "escape the lab." It was configured to test connections against known vulnerabilities and exploit them. It's a black-hat operation, disguised as marketing for their AI systems.

Of course that's what he wants, but he's failing at every turn to adequately set the table for it. He's like a sleazy dude getting a lapdance, with a bouncer standing right over him. He can't get away with anything, because he's worn out everyone's goodwill.

Michael Cohen paid her, and Trump illegally reimbursed him with company money. Trump was indicted, tried, and convicted for the arrangement.

This is the first time I've ever heard of Trump actually paying someone.

Where do you get 4 years? He was elected in 2022, and his term ends on Jan 3, 2029. That's two years and four months. Unless you're not talking about Fetterman.

Just look at how many HitlerStraßes there still are in Germany. Trump's name will be ripped down, everywhere, before his husk is cold.

John Kelly @bahua.com · 05/09/2026
I seriously doubt SCOTUS takes it up. Frankly, leaving the map in the 2022 state is saving the GOP some embarrassment, as the gerrymander was likely to backfire and cost them seats.

As an American, I say with full enthusiasm that our government has no interest in the best interest of the people of Ukraine under its current leadership. They're sending envoys because there's a financial advantage to exploit, not because they give a lick about peace or justice.

Is it news that he's going to hum on Trump's nuts when Trump commands him to hum his nuts?

I don't love the idea, but at least actual law enforcement officers have training and some semblance of a commitment to the rule of law. ICE agents are not LEA. They're untrained, unaccountable thugs whose only hard requirement is loyalty to the regime.

John Kelly @bahua.com · 30/08/2026
"Of course they're fake, sir! SSSHHHH. There there. Everybody loves you. That's right. The polls are all rigged by the communists and the illegals-- that's right. SSSHHH." "Okay he's asleep."

These people live in a bubble where they have underlings who bring them food and tell them how wonderful they are, safe from the vast majority, who want them skinned. So they think they have a chance to win elections.
000
John Kelly @bahua.com · 28/08/2026
Republicans don't know their peril. They think these little slices of nonsense work on someone other than their boomer base.
000
John Kelly @bahua.com · 26/08/2026
Let's say for argument's sake that AI is right 85% of the time. When a visionary tech oligarch is asked about the other 15%, he says more training is needed, which requires colossal new datacenters that do immeasurable damage. That'll likely get us to 88%, but even the full 15% isn't worth it to me.

Moscow is the enemy of the world, and is engaged in war. Any official enters it at their own risk. If the Kremlin wishes to treat with another government, they can desist in their attacks against Ukraine to earn a respite in the aerial bombardments. But why TF is anyone treating with the Kremlin?

His vision is for women to be game with all this. To submit to their husbands, for as long as their husbands find them sexually attractive. After that, they get thrown away.

John Kelly @bahua.com · 24/08/2026
Donald Trump doesn't know how war works, other than what he's seen in movies. He took office, promptly fired everyone in the DoD who knew what they were doing, and started simply bombarding Iran. No plan. Just the assumption they would surrender. Now he's furious and at a loss that they haven't.

"print money and have deflation." As deflation and inflation are words that refer specifically to the quantity of money in circulation, Musk shows again that he has no idea what he's talking about.

I see the appeal, but one of my favorite things about Linux is the simplicity and performance of shared libraries. So if my distro has a version of a piece of software in the default package repo, I will choose that every time over equivalents in snap, appimage, or flatpak.

Yeah, the establishment and conservative take that Platner's personal problems equal some kind of national rebuke of progressive policy is just nonsense. Platner's a man. Progressivism is a movement of which he is only an adherent. What you said was right, and still is.
