And, we would lose features that I think make speedrunning more fun and exciting and bring communities together. This is my opinion, but I support therun.gg because I think it has a positive effect on the speedrunning community, and I think more people should if they benefit from it.

Plus, without them we would have to accept whatever speedrun.com does, even if it is worse for the community, as we're seeing, or revert to worse and more fragmented ways of doing the same thing that require more effort from leaderboard mods who also do this on a volunteer basis.

I think it's very reductive and unfair to equate all uses of AI. People spend a lot of time on these projects for the benefit of the community and they probably wouldn't be possible otherwise. As long as they have good intentions, I think it's super entitled to oppose them on that basis.

Long answer coming (I usually don't do this): How is it a moral argument that someone who spends a lot of time and effort on their project for no profit should be boycotted for using some AI on a website? There are valid reasons to oppose it, but I have to ask what "change" you think you will get.

Then I just don't think you understand what "slop" means other than "something that uses AI", at least in my opinion, using AI to make a website especially on a hobby basis is hardly the worst use of it, you can choose to boycott if you want but I think it's a bit harsh

I don't think you understand what ai slop means if you're saying speedrun.com, therun.gg, and rankedruns.com are all "slop", unless you're referring to other projects and if you are calling src ai slop, then I don't think you're helping the discussion about it either

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door inadvertently depicts Peach as the quickest typist in the world. She is able to type up a 126-word email in exactly 3 seconds, making her 8 times faster than the current typing speed world record.

In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Peach sends multiple emails to Mario during the plot. Almost all of them take her exactly 3 seconds to type.
The length of the emails she types in 3 seconds varies from 54 words to the longest one seen below, at 126 words.

At the current world record typing speed of 319 words per minute, Peach should have been able to get about this far into the email.
In order to finish the email in three seconds, she needed to type with an a speed of 2520 words per minute, 7.9 times the world record.
While the quick typing is clearly merely a way to make the scene move along more quickly and should not be taken as accurate depiction of Peach's typing skills, it is still humorous to imagine the implications arising from it if taken at face value.

I also got a last-minute 9 Star PB with a 12:56 (28th place)! Weak beginning but golded BitS and I'm pretty sure that's the best I've ever done in a run :D Glad I at least cracked the 13:30 tier, gonna keep streaming for some last minute 16 attempts, we'll see :P

Pretty good 1 star run with FGSM crackslide! Only mistakes were dark world (on top of doing a beginner route) and BitS (where I went for manamo but lost a few cycles, losing shoutout) I just had a pretty crushing loss in the Multi-Bingo Mayhem, finishing 7th-8th, so a bit of redemption :)

I think it was overall a great tournament and proved the viability of 4-way races for 120 star, which was only possible thanks to the runners being so flexible for scheduling! Running this in 2 weeks was no small feat and I'm really proud of everyone for making it happen :D
