Did the Manchester 100km ride today. People appeared to like the bike. Thanks to @fenrisgames.com and @tammi.bsky.social for the stickers on the bike.

#newBikeDay Well... I've been slowly building it for the last month, but now it's actually complete*. This is now my new commuter bike. It will also do double duty as summer fun bike. *Not included yet: pannier rack, mud guards, rubber duck.

Foreground: a bright pink bike with black wheels and saddle, bright blue handle bars and pedals, and orange hubs (not terribly visible at this angle). No, I'm not colour blind. Life is just too short for everything to be black.

If anyone is interested, I can happily recommend cycling along the canal from Llangattock (near Crickhowell) to Brecon and back. Very pretty stretch of canal.

This is the view from the Llangattock Escarpment over the Brecon Beacons this morning. I have been caving today for the first time in nearly 3 years. I'm currently very broken.

Saw some Merganser ducks on the canal yesterday. First time I've seen any there. There's also a Mandarin as well (no picture). There used to be a Mandarin and a Woods that hung around together a few years ago, but I doubt it was the same guy.
