Man, I desperately need a programming project to sink infinite time into.At least, until WoW Forever comes out, then I'll have an infinite time-sink ;)

Was toying with some things and wanted to backup part of a mini-SD card.. I thought "surely I must have a card reader somewhere" Sure do! It's so old it uses trapezoidal mini-USB connector on one end. The transfer's going great so far... only six more hours to go 😂

Time remaining: About 6 hours. Items reamaining: 469 (43.7 GB)

I've watched two Dakota Johnson SNL skits on Youtube, and both were great. She's really good at being mean 😂

It feels cruel when a game releases at 9am and I have to spend a whole day at work not playing it 😔

My Undertale playthrough is starting to go live now. Expect one episode a week on Fridays, around 45-60 minute episodes. For those that like blind playthroughs, I knew very little. youtu.be/0J0SkUWLfig

You ever see the world's most braindead-ass take and just have to clench so hard to not tell them what an absolute buffoon they are?

I think I'm going to take the plunge and play "WoW Forever" It sounds like a few old friends are coming back from our original Vanilla guilds, going to try to talk a few other friends into it. If anyone is interested in joining me, reach out and we'll definitely find some time together.

Man, it is feeling like a *big* year in gaming. There's been a lot already, and so much more coming.

Last night I dreamed that I got invited to @grandpoobear.bsky.social's Kaizo Colosseum as an organizer. My whole job was to be nice to people and fetch them drinks and stuff, and it was actually pretty great.

I finished the *true* ending to Undertale last night, and it really elevated my opinion of the game (which was already fairly positive, mind you) Absolutely worth the extra effort!

Just got a sports betting ad on Twitch featuring Sydney Sweeny running around mostly nude, intentionally provocatively. Gross. Do better.

Did I just replay Ocarina of Time for the first time in 20+ years? Yes. Am I still excited to play it with new shiny graphics, dialogs, voice acting, and the ability to jump? Also yes.

BadgerByNature @badgerbynature.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

Woo! Completed my first Undertale run tonight. I can see why there's so much love for it

010

BadgerByNature @badgerbynature.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

Finally started playing/recording <REDACTED>, but between the amount of dialog and the style of the voices I chose I only made it a couple hours in before having to give my voice a rest! 😩

As long as it doesn't ruin the whole episode, I take joy in spotting when the animation team didn't have time to make a real effort on something. This is a real screencap from Re:Zero's most recent episode 😆 Sometimes it goes by quickly and is surprisingly easy to miss, especially when reading subs

A screenshot from the anime "Re:Zero" in which the characters, who are not very close to the camera, appear in very low detail and very off-model

Guy got called out for using AI on his WoW server PRs, and he responded with a huge multi-paragraph message in Discord. . . that is also obviously written with AI 🤦 And people are eating it up as a sincere message.

Finished OoT! Missed four pieces of heart and about seven gold skulltulas, which isn't half bad. I'll probably go back and track them down so that I know the game a little better for randomizers.

Some of you will never know what it was like to log into WoW every day and just.. hang out. Like jumping into a giant Discord call for hours on end, people coming and going. Even before Ventrilo - then more so after. There were less games then, so many of us just had *one* home - and it was WoW.

I want a dislike button on social media posts. I don't care if it does anything, or if anyone can see that it's been clicked in any way - I just need a way to express my distaste for your behavior.

Finding so many things in Ocarina of Time that I don't remember, and don't usually see even in rando/archipelago runs. What a joy! It's holding up so well. My biggest complaint so far is the dialogs - they're either unskippable or you skip the whole thing when I just wanted to fast-forward one line.

I dreamed that there was a huge gaming convention in Minneapolis, and on my way to check in bumped into @othatsraspberry.com and had a nice chat and she gave me stickers 😄 How incredibly random! Then I realized I hadn't reserved a hotel room and had to go put all my stuff in my car. Whoops.

This morning in Biddeford, Maine, a 26-year-old man said goodbye to his wife and daughter and left for work. Moments later he was dead, shot in the head by ICE agents, the second man ICE has killed in six days. ICE is killing our neighbors. ICE cannot be reformed. Abolish ICE.

Replaying OoT before the remake hits, and since it's been like 25 years.. I'm playing on emulator and the gorram slingshot shooting game took me like 15 tries. Only after swearing at it for a while did I find an analog sensitivity setting in the emulator... that really would've helped.

Finished Mina the Hollower! I'm probably in the minority of people who found the combat too frustrating to fully enjoy. The last boss was one of the few bosses where I actually felt like I was expressing skill.

100

BadgerByNature @badgerbynature.bsky.social · 06/06/2026

Well, if FF7 Revelation is coming straight to PC I'm going to have to upgrade my graphics card.. that's a real challenge these days. But I don't feel like I can justify getting it on my non-pro PS5 if PC is an option!

000

BadgerByNature @badgerbynature.bsky.social · 01/06/2026

Mina the Hollower has great style, but I gotta be honest that the combat just isn't thrilling me. I'm never sure when I should be jumping vs burrowing - attacking vs avoiding. It's probably a me problem, but I often have no idea what I'm doing wrong.
