Yeah but that’s just colinearity between their language and the eigenslur, it’s easy to test.

Which is bullshit because they don’t have a defined depth and therefore no defined volume. So 1km^3 is at most 400,000 swimming pools but could be less.

How about I say it's 6.2 billion barrels, or how much oil goes through the strait of Ormuz in a normal year, and leave it at that?

Thinking of all my ex-colleagues in Stockholm who worked on IceCube, it must have been a nice day for them.

It’s big enough to pinpoint the direction of arriving neutrinos, and they have been able to correlate them to several astrophysical sources (blazars and the galactic center for instance). Multi messenger astronomy is a vast open field these days.

*Youth cosmologist voice* You know what else that can measure astrophysical neutrinos?

1) Fincher directing a film about the birth of semiconductors 2) As many people said, the double helix (there is already a play with Nicole Kidman. I think it’s a slam dunk) 3) And yet it moves, a film about proving continental drift and plate tectonics. 4) Armando Iannucci’s The Death of Smallpox

No it’s what it says on the tin, 10^9 m^3, or the volume of a cube with a 1km side (the actual shape is more hexagonal)
A diagram of the IceCube array, with an Eiffel Tower for scale. You can see the detectors attached along long cables, 1.5km under the ice

I refused to shake hands and sit down next to a UKIP candidate in 2015. My ancestors smile upon me (refugees to Palestine in 1933, British by reason of statelessness). Can you say the same, left-Labourite?

No we already did a round of "eigenslur" back in 2025, it's the vector projection of the n-word orthogonally to blackness apparently (or any slur out of the specific group it targets)

Always weird when the AI releases democratic Germany but then Adenauer invades France or something equally demented with three division.

But overall, yeah there is no country, just a reserve of manpower and interchangeable areas in which to build factories. Is it a high-modernist view of society? (in the “Seeing like a State" sense)

I want to point out that while there is no Wehrmacht coup during fall gelb, you can get one if there is war with the Allies over the Sudetenland and the Czech hold out long enough (I think it’s a 6 month mean time to happen?)

One singulatarian cultist Is Too Many singulatarian cultist but also I'm not in tech, rich, or US/Oxbridge-educated so I am as invisible to these people as they are to me.

I live in Berkeley, work at UC and have thankfully never run into any of these people as far as I know. I did pass in front of their cult compound once while running.

Don’t ask for a vision. Please exercise leadership, come up with a park plan, and just build the thing if voters don’t hate it. Those community meetings are just an outlet for mostly white, mostly old people to vent their fears of impermanence.

I love how from 1700 to ~1860 the same scene keeps repeating: "These damn English have a larger fleet, more shipbuilding, and better trained sailors, but if we innovate we can have better ship designs and then win with inferior numbers" and then Britain goes CTRL+C, CTRL+V CTRL+V CTRL+V CTRL+V...
