I think we’re seeing *some* good messaging for the Dems, but I would like to see Pete on Fox every day blasting out those exact talking points. So far, the GOP is polling way higher on blame for the shutdown anyway (17 points in the WaPo poll). We should keep hammering that home, though.

According to polling, it’s already backfiring, at least politically. The GOP isn’t going to stop them from doing what they’re doing, but they’re certainly going to pay for it come voting time. Unless we’re going to go on a nationwide strike, voting is really our only reasonable way out of this.
