Cover art I created for • Year's Best Arthropod Short Fiction Vol. 3 by Hexagon Magazine • - Cover is a rectangle of a symmetrical detailed mirror half drop repeat pattern inspired by arts and crafts era wallpaper. In the middle section is a dragonfly facing down from overhead with paper wasps facing outwards above over top of branching leaves. Below and above is the central repeated motif of a large leaf insect from above framed by lace wing butterflies turned outward and stag beetles facing inward.
Surrounding and underneath all of them are stylized leaf branches with round large berries. The entire pattern is in periwinkle and darker twilight blues with pops of pale off white pink for the berries. Over top is a fine line ink work in dark blue and pale pastel blue for threadbare highlights on the wasp and butterfly wings.

Did you know that the name Dol Guldur is not used in the Hobbit but is mentioned in the Lord of the Rings as a dwelling place of Shelob's brood.

Altar prayer card for the goddess Diana. A rectangular card has a black border with parts of the Orphic hymn for Diana surrounding it as a border in white text. In the bottom right are twin arrows over a crescent moon representing her and Apollo. In the bottom left and top right are white outlined 8 point stars. Inside the border is a marble shockwave black and grey pattern with white outlining that forms an arch at the top with lining to look like columns on both sides. Above is a matching mirrored medallion of the daises with a sun instead for the time of the spell from the ballet. The top curve is a tangle of branches/dark leaves in black casting a shadow on a lighter black background. Overtop are whire chamomile flowers in reference to Tchaikovsky’s sister Aleksandra. The border around the board is split into white on the top with the black swan and black on the bottom. Behind are walls with a tile pattern of black stars lined in white on a grey background framing a doorway is shaded wall moulding.
