Oh yeah, totally. But I do feel you on like "so...who IS supposed to be in the game in terms of characters?" Apparently: "Yes." Or "No." Retsu meta here we go indeed

I had just recently done a Heretic Priest where Emperor Gold came in as the embellishment faceplate over his pretty grim body. (as a bonus, Tainted Gold was utilized on the body armor too before the enamels and weathering, so Army Painter Golds coming in again.)

hey I just sit here and hate on guests these days*, but yeah it's just the old Simpsons clip anymore where if you ask people if they want the devs to prioritize new characters or classics the answer is 'Yes' to both, until they're in, then it's 'noooo' *with the exception if they put Zenos in GBVS

The other option I might try on the shoulder is to do a variant of the classic checker...only synthwave colors. Will test the white ink/fluor on john spacemarine(a test model I have) first and then decide what I like more

My engagement has been pretty spotty. I've gained some followers, I admittedly don't post a lot, but the past week or so, some FGC posts were desolate. that said, I don't think there's shadowbans. People might just be less engaged in social media atm. I know I've been stepping away more

#Orktober WIP: the oldschool synthwave boy, the shoulders are a pain in the ass(they're giant, rough, and blocky-it's a 1988 Bolta and as charming as they are they can have awkward pieces-which IS part of the charm.) I might just inject a white oil wash/ink, hit them with fluor and pray 😅

an old Bolta model, painted in a synthwave style, though still WIP; need to do the gun/weapons, the lenses and finish the very awkward shoulders, as well as a bunch of touching up.

I'm a Xennial, so I still remember the '84 Haunted Castle incident. I saw the Haunted Castle when I went to Six Flags the summer before(though I didn't go in, I think I was too scared.) The person looking at the code violations after said something like "forget it, there's too many to list."

Kind of obsessed with this spooky season scene my 12-year-old painted today.

Acrylic paint on a roughly 8x8-inch canvas. Yellow and brown grass background with a couple of pumpkins and white sheet-style ghosts floating over top.

Now I can allow a chance that Redferne, being very meticulous, went to learn as much as possible about stuff after he got stuck in the modern day and learned about the Amish behind the scenes that we didn't see But was a random bit I noticed but I might again be misremembering something about dates

010

Azzy, the Nuclear Chaos @azzyfgc.bsky.social · 13/10/2026

Doesn't bother me, and I might be forgetting one aspect, but in the Warlock movie the past part takes place in 1691, Boston. When Redferne meets the modern Mennonite farmer, he asks if he's Amish, but the Amish movement didn't start in Europe until 1693 and IIRC didnt migrate until the early 1700s

the 2nd guy was trying to get one of those older school over the top models looking more dark, I was leaning on inspiration from the old Warcraft 1/2 art where the orcs looked darker but still exaggerated/over the top. As for a current WIP, I uhh...may be accidentally doing an 80s

An early WIP of a synthwave ork for some reason.

#Orktober continues, switching up a bit! the first guy is Zorn palette only; paints used were the 4 on the left from The Army Painter's JB Vol 1 set. I allowed myself 1 metallic, 1 effect and 2 Washes from the set too(ochreish and black.) 2nd guy was classic + enamels! #nerdlings #minipainting

2 more old school orcs, left one done via Zorn palette, right classic, with enamels, reductive passes and some dirty down effects.

The used paints from the Army Painter's John Blanche sets!

Sabin and Edgar read the newspaper. It says, "Vector Times - King Figaro shows true colors! Betrays Gestahl!"

Setzer looks at a magazine. It's called Gestahlian Life magazine and has a picture of a smiling soldier with a smiling child on his shoulders and his smiling wife behind him. Cover advertises easy recipes, ideas for curfew, fun things to do inside, updated guide to civilian magic, fun magic exercises for kids, how to apply for magic infusion

Cyan and Gau walk by a large red billboard. It says Report Returners and three stylized men point. A starburst is right over Cyan's head.

Got ma brushpen I can finally draw spooky Zenos from memory

A hulking man, silhouetted by his cape to appear mostly as a black mass, two armoured feet walking towards you, long hair masking the shape of his face, shoulder pads winged and spiked. His arm is held out to the side, holding a katana angled towards the ground, inky black blood drips from the tip, leaving a curving trail as he slowly wanders towards you. His eyes are bright red, all you can see against his black body.

"Who is this for" is really what can't leave my head. Anyone in East Asia who wants a bag would hit up one of those majors(EVO Singapore is even then!), most Western folks will hit Frosty and not even consider this, like even 'for the shareholders' makes no sense since no one is getting anything
