In the prototype version of Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, Mario and Luigi would have needed to electrocute a living mouse for all eternity to solve a puzzle. This was changed in the finished version to a toy mouse, likely due to the original being absurdly cruel.

In the finished version of Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, there is a puzzle in the Woohoo Hooniversity basement whereby an electric circuit must be completed using mechanical toy mice as conductors:
Mario must fill himself with water, which Luigi shoots out with a hammer to push the mouse into the circuit, completing it:
After this, for the rest of the game, going back to that room shows the mouse continuing to be electrocuted as it is now permanently part of the circuit.
This is completely fine since the mouse is a toy.
However, in the prototype version of the game, the mice are clearly living animals, being shown to eat cheese when they stop moving:
Now, Mario and Luigi are completing an electric circuit by electrocuting a real animal.
This means that for the rest of the game, the circuit is completed via the mouse's body, meaning it is a real animal being electrocuted eternally.
The cruelty of this is so absurd that it was likely removed for this reason.

Let it be known that I had the chance to buy a Mushihimesama Futari arcade stick in 2018 at a Hard-Off in Ueno and instead I chose an Otamatone with a maneki neko skin. Every time I play a shmup I want to hit myself.

Mushihimesama Futari arcade stick discounted at a Hard-Off store in Ueno.

I may have went a little overboard with the effects and textures but I got so excited for @azureflux.bsky.social 's new song I couldn't help it! #東方Project #東方怪綺談 #アリス・マーガトロイド #東方旧作

Okay I'm probably not gonna clear Patchouli 12 more times to see all of her spellcards, but I'll get 23/24 achievements done for New Classic. That's good enough for me.

The Kimono Gallery @roger1952.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

A rabbit playing in the waves, kimono design of Sukeroku about 1746. Ota Memorial Museum of Art. The placement of the rabbit-and-wave pattern along the lower hem embodies miegakure (the design principle of hide-and-reveal), where the motif flashes into view only as the actor struts across the stage.

Slender and commanding beneath the dark rim of his tilted paper umbrella, the Kabuki hero Sukeroku stands in a swaggering pose, his tall wooden clogs (geta) elevating him above the Edo street. The right panel reveals his dark outer kimono, anchored by samurai-style shoulder crests (mon) that give way at the lower skirt to an intricate, fluid textile pattern. Magnified in the left detail, this hem motif reveals a trio of rabbits (usagi) leaping through churning sea foam and stylized, arching waves (nami). Okumura Masanobu’s crisp woodblock contours capture the rabbits' supple bodies, alert ears, and playful postures as they vault across carved ripples and floating droplets of water, creating a rhythmic dialogue between the dark printed field and the unprinted paper beneath.
Executed around 1746 by Okumura Masanobu (1686–1764)—one of early ukiyo-e’s most innovative masters and a pioneer of narrow vertical formats (hashira-e)—this print from the collection of the Ota Memorial Museum of Art depicts the quintessential dandy of the Edo stage. Sukeroku, the dashing protagonist of Sukeroku Yukari no Edo Sakura, was the ultimate icon of townsperson swagger (edokko), famed for confronting arrogant samurai within the licensed pleasure quarters of Yoshiwara. The motif adorning his garment hem, nami ni usagi (rabbits playing in waves), carries deep poetic roots tracing back to the Noh play Chikubushima, which celebrates the lunar rabbit running across the moonlit surface of Lake Biwa.
Aesthetically, the print serves as a supreme testament to iki—the refined, effortless, and slightly rebellious sense of style that defined Edo chic. The deliberate placement of the rabbit-and-wave pattern along the lower hem embodies miegakure (the design principle of hide-and-reveal), where the intricate motif flashes into view only as the actor struts across the stage. Sukeroku’s tilted umbrella functions as a portable kekkai (personal spatial boundary).

I put off The Queen’s Gambit for too long assuming it’s a show gassed up by the lockdown. It’s fun though. Popping barbiturates to practice chess on the orphanage ceiling is clever. I personally would never pop ambiens and queue mahjong so the warm, fuzzy feeling in your chest kicks in mid game 🙄

I just made a short accidentally due to the aspect ratio of this recording. Anyway, this is a cover from 3D Dot Game Heroes, a banger for the PS3. Project file is 70kbs, so it really is a shorty youtube.com/shorts/a8Gv-...

Picture this: me and a friend rented a car in Tokyo and went on a road trip across several prefectures. We stopped in Yamanashi, Nagano, Niigata, Fukushima, Tochigi, Ibaraki and back to Tokyo. One day we arrive at a remote town in Nagano called Kitano.

@minkat.bsky.social Hi, I just found your Kaavi fanart from a couple years ago. My Twitch channel is themed after Kaavi and I'd like to use it as my avatar but I can't find it on Ko-Fi anymore. Is there any way I could get the art in full res without a watermark? www.pixiv.net/en/artworks/...

@reimu518.bsky.social Hey there, I'm making a Touhou arrange of Eternal Shrine Maiden. Can I use the PC98 Reimu you commissioned from Alker on my video? I'll have to stretch it to fit 1080p and fill it with graphics, then add my own typeface. Here's an example www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9Fa...
