A book reviewer once told me that Ashrinn (the woman in blue) looks like she's about to play golf. While I absolutely abhor golf, my mother-in-law played a lot of golf. She passed away several years ago, before the pandemic.

#cartaugust The last few posts I had for last week didn't schedule properly. So I'm playing catch up. Again. Huge shoutout to @imironwolf for his glorious map skills.

People rarely travel on the ocean. When they do, they stay as close to the shore as possible. The three moons have a chaotic effect on the tides, leading to an alarmingly high number of shipwrecks.

Much of the land between the River of Sorrows and the North Kenalowa River has been used as a battleground for the last two thousand years. The current conflict with the Darkriders is no exception.

I've learned that hiring a professional is a great decision. Mat took my map idea and turned it into the one I've been using all month. It was worth every penny.

There are several parts of Keverynn that are rich in mineral resources. The eastern stretch of Shu'venath Province and Verdigris Territory have the heaviest concentrations.
The land on either side of the River of Sorrows is particularly rich in clay that comes in a wide array of colours.

The many rivers on the eastern side of the main continent make the soil excellent for farming.
The most fertile farmlands are found in Shu’venath and Ta'lakivor Provinces, as well as in the Atramentous Territory.

Where the Rubicund and Chalybeous Territories meet, a tall, flowering shrub called the apple sap grows. This medicinal plant has dark purple berries that are used as an ingredient in medicines for a wide range of illnesses. The plant gets its name from the leaves, which smell faintly of apples when crushed.

There is literally no excuse to use AI for anything. Can't afford a $2000 book cover? Me neither. What do these book covers have in common? Aside from being my books, they all cost $35 USD (roughly $45 CAD) AND support artists based in the Ukraine. You have no excuse for 'no budget'.
