Day of the Ukrainian Trident
In 1918, it became the emblem of the Ukrainian People’s Republic. In 1992, after independence was restored, the Trident was officially approved as the Small State Emblem of Ukraine - a golden symbol on a blue shield.
Today, the Tryzub stands for freedom and unity.
