It’s hard to believe in 2026 people are still asking “did you mask before covid?” As some kind of gotcha. When things change, you adapt. When you learn, you change your behaviour. If I had known an N95 could prevent illness this effectively, I would have worn one sooner!

I think its genuinely a virtue to accept that you could be wrong about anything and kill the part of yourself that needs to always be seen as correct and smarter than others on any given topic

New desk mats, beanies, and pins are joining our Slime Rancher 2 collection today! Plus the 3LP soundtrack is still available. Browse the complete collection here: www.fangamer.com/collections/...
Photo of a colorful Slime Rancher desk mat, featuring simplified drawings of various Slimes crowded into frame with thick, violet line work and pastel colors. Photo of the new Pink Slime beanie showing small/medium and large/XL sizes. It's a simple pink beanie with a gleeful-looking Pink Slime face in the middle. A photo of the Slime Rancher 2 vinyl soundtrack, arranged so that the outer packaging is resting on top of the pink, green, and blue marbled vinyl. The art shows Beatrix's boat from behind on its way to Rainbow Island, with a colorful illustration of what awaits her at the center.

If a human told you things that were correct 80% of the time but claimed, flat out, with absolute confidence, that they were correct 100% of the time, you would dislike them & never trust a word they say. All I'm really suggesting is for people to treat chatbots with that same distrust & antagonism.

Thanks for the reminder @janemunday.bsky.social. Every summer, I repost this article DROWNING DOES NOT LOOK LIKE DROWNING. To date, I know of FOUR kids who were saved after someone who'd clicked on the link learnt how to spot actual drowning. Take time to read and pass on. slate.com/technology/2...

Drowning Doesn’t Look Like Drowning
Drowning is not the violent, splashing call for help that most people expect.

Science does not work like this. The only way you can set a timeline is if you have rigged the results in advance.

Seen a few folks astonished by my lack of support for ChatGPT and similar. Because AI, right? Yeah, no. What we have right now is glorified autocorrect. Glorified autocorrect that takes the energy of an entire city to do what it does, plus half of Lake Erie to cool down while it's doing it.

The answer is simple. When you know better - you do better. We know Covid is a serious multi system virus that’s causing long term harm. We know a good respirator prevents catching or spreading it. We need to adapt - and it’s not too late. /end
