I love wearable art, and regularly buy from a local artist. One shopping spree meant she didn't have to go out to the local market in the heat in hopes she would make a sale.

This flashy opportunity? They have been trying to make it happen for a year with only hope to keep them going and it's finally happening!

That exhibit? It's the only one they got into out of the 15 they submitted for.

That new painting they posted? They kinda need it to sell so they can pay the rent next month.

So be kind in your thoughts. Imagine if your job required social media presence on four platforms to make sure ends meet.

And if you see your friends or acquaintances post art that you like, please share it! It can make all the difference sometimes.

Yes I do. In the 1960s there were liberal Republicans, who were fiscally conservative but progressive on social issues. Sen. Charles Percy of Illinois is an example.

Plus it makes Congressional districts long and unwieldy. Those parts that are isolated from the rest are neglected. Example: Newton County AR is in AR 4, which includes all of southwest AR--and yet we are closer to MO than we are to Texarkana.

Ban all corporate donations and also PAC donations. I realize there are progressive PACs as well as conservative ones, but I think we need to go back to individual donations only. And maybe a cap on how much total a candidate can have to spend on a campaign.

I once asked my mother why she had me nearly ten years after my brother was born. She said it was so I could look after her in her old age. I did not do that--she was able to live independently for her life. I plan to also live independently as long as I can.
