Please remember: they share their work and accomplishments all the time as a matter of survival. No one else will be their hype man.

That grant? It's the only thing keeping them going during these slow months.

This flashy opportunity? They have been trying to make it happen for a year with only hope to keep them going and it's finally happening!

That exhibit? It's the only one they got into out of the 15 they submitted for.

That new painting they posted? They kinda need it to sell so they can pay the rent next month.

So be kind in your thoughts. Imagine if your job required social media presence on four platforms to make sure ends meet.

And if you see your friends or acquaintances post art that you like, please share it! It can make all the difference sometimes.

I live in the most rural part of Arkansas. My state highway is the least traveled. And yet--AND YET--there is a Flock camera along it. And within ten miles, two more! It really creeps me out!

Really impressed with James Russell, who is running for Congress in Arkansas' Fourth District. He talked of universal health care, ethics in Congress, term limits, and encouraged us to get his email/phone number to reach out to him for questions.

YouGov survey asked me today if I thought Congress should get involved in curtailing 45's ability to declare war. I told them it is their Constitutional duty, and that 45 should be put in his place. I would have said "jail", but I didn't think about it until the survey was done.

It pays to regularly give treats to pets. My neighbor has a dog with a tendency to run off and be gone for several days. She ran off again today. I offered to help look for her. I went into the grass under the power line and called "TREAT!" She soon came bounding up!

Country life. My neighbors no longer let their chickens free range. Seems the chickens got into their grilling equipment and also some new flowers they'd gotten and made a mess! I'll miss having them come on my porch and lay eggs.

Only in the country--my neighbor's free range chickens have been walking up my ramp to my porch. This morning I found half a dozen eggs they'd laid! My neighbor will pick up the eggs when he gets home from work. I don't eat eggs.

When I was a kid, I was teased for being fat. Not only by kids, but my family, including my mother. I'm now at the ideal weight for my height--yet still think of myself as "fat". Friend was a slow reader and still thinks he's "dumb" even though he's successful. What you are told sticks with you.
