For the on-site competition, they performed 24 handover configurations under real-world conditions: - variable lighting & backgrounds - human occlusion We provided 6 unknown containers with varying physical properties (rigid to deformable, opaque to transparent) and 3 contents to vary masses.

8 teams qualified and competed live in Vienna on June 4th. Teams brought their own robots or used hardware our sponsors provided, showcasing diverse gripper and touch sensor designs.

12 teams (from China, South Korea, Croatia, Austria, Italy, Czech Republic, India, Singapore) designed their robotic control and perception solutions from scratch. Teams competed in a remote qualification phase and executed 288 handover configurations (from the 2019 CORSMAL benchmarking protocol).
