I had to go into the Quest Log and scroll down to keep track of some side stuff. Anything that's done is immediately hidden upon completion.

I appreciate that this game doesn't front load you with ALL of the things. Additional side things are discovered as you make your way all over the map - I mean ALL OVER. You basically have to find people to give you more side things to do if the map doesn't point them out to you already.

Still plugging away at side stuff in Control Resonant and all the rumours about Remedy not holding your hand are absolutely true. Unsure if blind or there's a map bug where once you've collected or busted open a barrier the icon is still there, or there's another hidden right beside it.

The early 2010s was a very good time for stealth games - yes even Hitman Absolution - but Dishonored gave us something completely new and I am very grateful to have played it with my fps motion sickness and all.

A life drawing model gave me a copy as well as one of the posters that came with the box. It was so good I had to hunt down the soundtrack.

I'll definitely revise my opinion once that does happen but I'm glad that it hasn't hit me as bad as certain games. FPS usually does it - except EVOLVE and Overwatch - but also third person games with a camera locked behind the character like Batman Arkham Asylum.

I haven't gotten severely motion sick playing Control Resonant using the traversal abilities so whoever was behind the camera work and checking collisions in tight spaces constantly, thank you.

There aren't a lot of areas that differentiate the city and its architecture even though it's technically "New York". Like someone took a piece of Manhattan and just went nuts with that kitbash for a few hundred miles but only a couple stories up and everything else after that collision is vistas.

The level design in Control Resonant is so very deliberate that you can only use special traversal abilities only when they let you. It's almost cute and overbearing how they make sure we're not going where we're not supposed to, like worried parents baby-proofing the furniture.

TFW the algo took me from workwear to japanese american casual [amekaji] and city boy to hiking/running gear to straight up gorpcore. I dunno where else this fashion inspo journey is gonna take me but it sure is giving me sticker shock just looking up prices for just one or two pieces.

What shocked me were actual hackers being consulted at the time to describe what the feeling of bypassing systems felt like. Less accuracy more impressionistic and that shit somehow worked. Mr Robot commited more on the most basic of basic wardrobe front though.

It still has a bit of the 80s lingering on it like stale cigarettes. But what other word were you thinking instead?
