Swedes are just about to go to the polls. In 2022, some precincts had unprecedented problems with lines. In our article in @electoralstudies.bsky.social, @axelcronert.bsky.social and I find that these lines reduced turnout with 1–1.5 pp in affected precincts. We hope for fewer problems this time.

New article with Pär Nyman in PSRM: Do competitive elections lead governments to short-sighted economic policy, or to moderation? Analyzing Swedish municipalities using a new measure and new method, we find much more evidence of moderation than myopia. OA here: www.cambridge.org/core/journal...
