I was thinking about this and I wonder if Kofi has a house in Florida/how much time he spends there. I know he's based in Texas but a lot of ex-WWE talent have homes there because of the performance center. If Kofi can/is willing to defend the belt more on ROH that would be huge for them.

A union is obviously a good idea, because then they could get cheaper health insurance and have the protected right to strike, etc. But plenty of people prefer being contractors because you aren't owned by your employer, and the "independent contractor" thing is night and day between AEW and WWE.

Thing is, there's nothing wrong with being an independent contractor if you're actually treated like one. Tonight is a great example. Cope had the opportunity to wrestle for MLP, Tony probably could have said "sorry we might need you on AEW." But he didn't, because he respects the relationship.
