I think it's good for games to not have DLC. We need a healthy dose of games that are done for release and won't cost you an extra $30 for the rest of it. Splatoon Raiders feels complete without DLC, so I'm satisfied that there are no plans for any.

I haven't had my PS5 plugged in for several months and haven't felt the urge to plug it back in: you can do this too, I promise. My reason to have a PS5 in the first place was for physical games. Their first party output has been mediocre this generation, so there's no saving grace at this point.

Decided to play some Smash Ultimate again recently, and seeing the same issues persist online mind boggling. I'd still rather wait longer to play my preferred ruleset. I just want to do team battles, but I'm going to be forced into the most agonizing FFAs seeing the same characters non-stop

I felt alone in thinking Wolverine looked boring from the first gameplay showcase just as I did when people said they thought Sonic Forces looked fun. Flashy looking games can easily turn out milquetoast: never forget that ✈️✈️

I don't think OoT needs a remake, but I'll gladly accept it. It's becoming less accessible to play the original under ideal conditions (N64/GC/Wii with a decent CRT). Switch Online is a huge disservice to the N64. Input delay and button mapping + stick calibration make it a compromised experience.

The fact that this practice that has been executed by Square and SEGA thus far is also being done with a Nintendo IP is egregious. If they're letting Koei Tecmo do this with Zelda, then they'll probably start straight up doing it themselves some day. (Talking about rebuying the game, not discount)

Direct will definitely talk about the Zelda movie, which I forgot existed tbh. Beyond that, OoT, and special S2+Controller, I don't think they'd show anything else other than misc merchandise. Don't think they'll go all in announcing a new mainline game yet. Small scale spinoff is hopeful even, imo

I buy new physical games. I buy old physical games. I'll even buy some expensive out-of-print physical games. I don't pirate those games either: I like having an original copy to play on original hardware. An all digital future gives me no real incentive to purchase major titles.

Guys. Just cancel your PS+ and unplug your console indefinitely. Explore different worlds of games outside of that platform. Not buying stuff for a week is a tiny window for Sony. If you don't want an all-digital world, then prove you're not chumps who will just end up paying them again a week later

Only reason I got a PS5 was for physical games. I already had a PC, and I built a more modern one right before hardware prices skyrocketed. Since Sony continues to hate videogames, I'm just gonna get what's on an actual cartridge for Switch 2 and maybe acquire other games on PC. See ya, landlubbers

A game from 1997 is my goty so far, and a game from 1998 will most likely take it by the end of the year. StarFox 64 holds up both as a classic and modern title. It really is hard to top, and having the whole solar system in there makes it hard to branch into new territory.

Bugs aren't why I don't care for Sunshine. It's that 50% of the shine sprites do absolutely nothing. Getting them doesn't progress you at all or unlock anything. Only a specific 50% actually does anything. They could've had the shadow Mario missions sooner in each world and it wouldn't be a problem.
