Weird picture of my dog to celebrate his 13th birthday. A few months ago I didn’t think he’d make it, but he’s hanging in there.

Strange picture of my lab, Cooper, just showing his head and three legs, like an octodog.

Beautiful morning with the sun casting a shadow of me, my laptop and one of the gargoyles that is on on my back deck (Todd), on the wall. A sign it will be a nice day.

Cooper wants a treat, or a walk or a 3 course meal, or he’s pissed. Same sound regardless of what he wants.

Looking for ways to jazz up the junky end of our backyard with things that I have on hand. Looks like a good place for a pagan ritual.

Tree stump surrounded by
stones with a flocked green rabbit, and silk orange flowers, looking like some sort of ritual site.

A sunny, windy day. Our pup fell asleep on the couch and has a rainbow on his nose from the prism hanging in the window.

I have a couple of quick games to play to keep my brain working. Yahtzee, Q less, crosswords, card games like solitaire. I just made myself a memory game by printing off little pictures of some of my favourite movies. It’s cool.

Printed cards of a few favour movies. Alien, Jaws, Salems Lot, The Haunting, Storm of the Century, Event Horizon, The Descent, The Birds, The Edge, Sunshine, Shoot to Kill and The Shining.

My husband gave me what he calls a beard hair cactus. Isn’t it lovely?

Green paper cup with trimmed grey beard hairs formed into a ball in it. Magical.

Got this cross stitch (haven’t done one in years) kit from another of my kids, I love it, the nature, the thought of going on an adventure. She thinks it’s kind of creepy, and as a horror lover I can totally see that and now love it even more.

Cross stitch kit , picture of a van in the forest, sold by HandmadeWorldUkraine on Etsy.!

So nice having grown kids that know my love of books and especially old sci fi books. I got this one from my daughter, and while not sure what it’s about yet but it has dogs, so that’s a winner right there.

City by Clifford D. Simak, pictured on front a robot and two dogs.

I made this a while back but haven’t updated it to the specific guys that may be playing right now. I’ll have to do that.

My pup’s 12 birthday today. Some mobility issues (back legs a bit wobbly at times), possibly a bit of dementia (has taken to sitting outside and letting out a bark every 5 seconds or so , at nothing, until we bring him in), but he still thinks he’s a pup. Good that daughter works for a vet.

My favourite Saturday morning cartoon show as a kid. As a grown up I still love these kinds of stories.

Jonny Quest, the best cartoon of all time.

So nice to be able to go in the yard and pick blackberries.

Nice that the neighbours blackberries are out of control and hanging over my fence. They’re mine now.

My books read in July. A couple of thrillers, sci fi and a bit of horror. Enjoyed them all. Special shout out to the very short (41 pg) story , The Barrier by MK Alexander, it was a little gem.

Not as many as I usually read, I got too caught up in posting snark in Bluesky.

When I was little, I was such a badass. That’s me in the overalls on the left. If you wanted some kid to get a mud pie in the face, I was your henchgirl.
