Uh oh, Mamdani is getting small business owners to support socialism by making capitalism work for them. If he keeps doing stuff like this, people could expect Democrats to take principled stands and do things to make their lives better. How awful!

Today is the first day of Disability Pride Month. It feels very appropriate that it follows Pride Month. Queer people in general and trans people in particular have disabilities at higher rates than the general population. So I have a lot of company in being both trans and disabled.

Finally wandered down to Loring Park to do a little birding for the first time since I moved to Minneapolis. Saw so many red-winged blackbirds, a familiar and welcome sight from Texas, and saw my first wood ducks.

Accordingly, I cannot agree with the majority's analysis or its conclusions in this case. The majority finds, at bot-tom, that Colorado likely cannot legislate to protect the children of its State if, by doing so, it happens to keep state-licensed healthcare providers from saying what they want to say to minors. And the majority's holding means, in ef-fect, that just because Chiles is a talk therapist-and not, say, a surgeon—a State can be prevented from incidentally imposing reasonable restrictions on the treatments she pro-vides. Our precedents do not compel this conclusion. In fact, NIFLA draws a different line, and the correct course of action here is to hold it: Speech uttered for purposes of providing medical treatment may be restricted incidentally when the State reasonably regulates the speaker's provision of medical treatments to patients. Id., at 769-770.
To do anything else opens a dangerous can of worms. threatens to impair States' ability to regulate the provision of medical care in any respect. It extends the Constitution into uncharted territory in an utterly irrational fashion.
And it ultimately risks grave harm to Americans' health and wellbeing.

Headline: Man shot by federal agents has died, police chief says

Text: The man shot by federal agents this morning has died, Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara told the Minnesota Star Tribune.

Several witnesses have already been transported to the Whipple building. ICE attempted to order local police from the scene, but O'Hara refused, sources said.

O'Hara instructed his officers to preserve the scene. The BCA was enroute to the scene.

All available MPD officers have been called into work, except dogwatch (overnight shift), and days off cancelled.

I don’t fly often, and this used to be my home airport so there’s that bias, but DEN is my favorite. It’s huge yet reasonably quick to get around. It has good ground connectivity to downtown. Lots of food options in the concourses. Plus, no other airport has Blucifer to greet you or see you off.

These are Mike and Lima who are the oldest, at 7 years old, of the 4 cats we have. They’re brothers we adopted from someone who fostered them after finding them by a dumpster. The shredded comforter is largely their handiwork.

Surprisingly accurate. I was born in and spent much of my childhood in Arizona. I graduated high school in Denver and didn’t leave until I was on the cusp of turning 30.
