A Very Boring Farm @averyboringfarm.bsky.social · 06/09/2026Never ceases to floor me when I can say "I grew all this!" *except some of the seasoning and olive oil. But I'm determined to have olive trees so that will be cool for me one day too! #gardening #garden 050
A Very Boring Farm @averyboringfarm.bsky.social · 06/09/2026#Gardening Question! I'm trying to make a culinary garden that's as Mediterranean/Middle Eastern as possible (not far from Portland) and I'm really sad I can't find Sicilian Sumac in the US. Sites are saying Smooth or Staghorn Sumac taste very similar but I'm dubious. Anyone know? 1/4 130
A Very Boring Farm @averyboringfarm.bsky.social · 04/09/2026Hello everyone! I'm a disabled artist/hiker/gardener/animal rescuer/conservationist who vibes best with LGD and birbs. So we got a farm (that's mostly a forest we want to preserve) and are slowly building gardens and orchards in the already developed bits with the goal to donate what we don't eat ❤️ 263
A Very Boring Farm @averyboringfarm.bsky.social · 04/09/2026I made some "Native Mammals of Oregon" coloring sheets a long while back, figured maybe I would post them here for any passersby who might one day see them and want to print them out for any non-commercial use. This one is "Native Oregon Felines" #art #coloringbook #nativeanimals #PNW #oregon 1122
A Very Boring Farm @averyboringfarm.bsky.social · 02/09/2026Currently drowning in cherry tomatoes. Which is at least a good problem? I need to find some containers I can use to donate these. Because I have just about as many from 3 days ago too. #garden #gardening 340
A Very Boring Farm @averyboringfarm.bsky.social · 28/08/2026I want to get a pawpaw tree but I don't know which kind would be the most delicious! There's so many to choose from and I've never had one before: onegreenworld.com/product-cate... 020
A Very Boring Farm @averyboringfarm.bsky.social · 28/08/2026I have had them ask and I even had one say no. I do have a VERY qualifying condition though so I just went to another pharmacy. Again though, Yes: just pick one lie if you don't. 021
A Very Boring Farm @averyboringfarm.bsky.social · 28/08/2026The 2 new rescue dogs we brought into our lives earlier this year (from Texas and Idaho) seem to finally really feel at home and now calmly enjoy watching over the yard together (in between their bouts of zoomies) They leave the geese and ducks alone but chickens would be too much of an ask. 010
A Very Boring Farm @averyboringfarm.bsky.social · 28/08/2026This is so cool. Another young wolf, this one collard so they know for sure (unlike the one by the river in Bend last year) has dispersed to Central Oregon and was spotted twice on the road up to Mt. Bachelor. It makes it feel a little like nature is healing. www.youtube.com/watch?v=2I5z...youtube.comYoung wolf OR-213 has back-to-back close encounters on Oregon highwayYouTube video by The Oregonian 020
A Very Boring Farm @averyboringfarm.bsky.social · 28/08/2026The tomatoes decided to tomato finally. And there's about to be a billion more. Got some shiitake from the log too! That was a surprise. #garden #gardening 010

A Very Boring Farm @averyboringfarm.bsky.social · 26/08/2026A very boring and pointless post about how I thought this said "New Piss Off Lizards" and how that made me do a double take. 030

A Very Boring Farm @averyboringfarm.bsky.social · 18/08/2026I've been getting 2-4 hours of sleep a night. This sucks. I can fall asleep but will wake up in 3 hours. Everything is fine and I do everything right but the sleep switch just wont flip again. I think its the Addisons. I said screw it and took a half dose of hydrocortisone at 3am and got closer 110

A Very Boring Farm @averyboringfarm.bsky.social · 17/08/2026Last of the 3 rose beds is made! The grass is finally gone. Weeded and then planted with the remainder few of my mom's roses, hostas, and strawberries. Still need to get boxwoods and then obviously do the path and clean everything up #garden #gardening 030

A Very Boring Farm @averyboringfarm.bsky.social · 13/08/2026I let a lot of stuff re-seed on its own, grow where it once lay, so it's a little unkempt looking BUT, despite all my seed tray failures, I finally have a lot of food about to come in and I'm getting so many flower seeds this year! 020

A Very Boring Farm @averyboringfarm.bsky.social · 10/08/20264 baby bantams have hatched out & 4 more are currently cracking through their shells. Omg they're so cute 3 eggs clearly weren't fertilized, & they could all be Waffle's x Larkspurs (my old chicken group, she laid 3 eggs) but I hope at least one is. The rest are all Peanut's, my tiny bantam rooster 110
A Very Boring Farm @averyboringfarm.bsky.social · 10/08/20262 babies hatched tonight! A little silver and a little gold 💖 The only other time I've tried to use an incubator was on some goose and duck eggs that didn't happen to be fertilized so I'm so happy to have a successful chicken hatch! 120
A Very Boring Farm @averyboringfarm.bsky.social · 06/08/2026My picky eater saw me eating blueberries the other day so guess who's been nibbling through them, just like with the blackberries, lol 120

A Very Boring Farm @averyboringfarm.bsky.social · 04/08/2026We defeated (for now) a massive, old, blackberry thicket to uncover 2 very old pear trees that are absolutely loaded! The blackberries were so tall (16ft?) I could only see the tops. I actually thought they were apple trees until we were able to get closer #garden #gardening 141
A Very Boring Farm @averyboringfarm.bsky.social · 03/08/2026This rose has such a pretty light-peach color in its center. It stands out a little more from the others and I'm really loving it. #flowers #garden #gardening 040

A Very Boring Farm @averyboringfarm.bsky.social · 19/07/2026I can't believe this was only a year ago. He was 10 but even the vets all thought he was so healthy and young seeming.
