Exactly! We already beat those dorks to death in the regular season, head-to-head and overall as the division winner. Now we've gotta waste time and energy knocking them out of a last-place playoff spot given out of pity, that they didn't deserve in the first place, as the SIXTH-best team in the NL.

pitching staff in order to give ourselves any hope of a fighting chance. We have five starters and two relievers on the IL. And our reward for winning our division is to be forced into what is essentially a play-in series, which puts us in a really tough spot now that we're in a real playoff series.

I'd like to take this opportunity to complain about a division-winning team being forced to play in a Wild Card Series. Don't get me wrong, I am absolutely *jazzed* that we got to stick it to Philadelphia and make their fans sad, but now we have to attempt to cleverly juggle an already-beleaguered

I don't drink, but all day, I've felt like I've been recovering from a hangover. Turns out... I kinda was? Apparently an "emotional hangover" is a thing, and you can get one after a prolonged period of intensity, stress and high anxiety. In my case, that's an elimination playoff baseball game. 😅😅
