DK's identity is more intact than ever with the new redesign. He's now able to more easily express the emotions they tried forcing on his old design that just never worked before, if that makes sense. The new design can do cool, goofy, angry, gentle, etc, and do them well! He's our same old DK!

I think the thing to consider is that for the majority of the game his home and friends aren't in any REAL danger unlike 64 and Tropical Freeze.

Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story Wasn't the first game I ever played but it's positive impact is hard for me to dismiss. Taught me about interactive storytelling, made me a bit nicer to RPGs, and most importantly showed me the value of Mario's cast(cont).

Not too long ago I saw someone say "Double Fine should remake Psychonauts 1" Why!? The game's already on modern platforms and the sequel already does enough to improve on the first! We don't need to waste time and resources just because the current gamer is scared of graphics from the 2000s

I didn't mind the reuse of music(at for Air Ride) but I did think it was a missed opportunity to do modern rearrangements for the old tracks, Mario Kart 8/World style. We even have a sneak peek at an alternate future where they actually did that

Bananza was in development for those 9 years.Basically it went from being a 2022 SW1 game to a 2025 SW2 launch title. Bowser's Fury is a much, MUCH smaller endeavor by comparison. It makes sense that game would take less time.

Video games take time to make, especially if they're from a major AAA developer. No disrespect but I think those expecting a new 3D Mario so soon after Bananza are huffing some strong copium. It's only been a year. Realistically the game won't be out for another 2-3 years.
