Ah yes, such weighty questions as “Who should we believe, you or Nigel Farage?” and “Will you raise taxes?”

Can someone wake up the ~1 journalist in BBC News with a science degree and ask them to remind their colleagues that CLIMATE AND WEATHER ARE DIFFERENT. Lead story in the Climate section: "getting a bit parky innit" Much farther down: "Climate change played role in Nepal-Tibet flood, study finds"

Maybe it'll be taken over by WHSmith.

A photo of the newly closed TGJones store in Cambridge with the T, J and s poorly photoshopped (using Affinity) to grey, so the sign reads "Gone". I am very funny.

I despise this UI component from Google. (This example comes from scheduling a post in the YT Studio app on iOS.)

A Google UI component for defining a time, based on a clock face.

Just saw a reference to <input type="color"> on chrisburnell.com/html-can-do-... and fell down a rabbit hole. Unquestionably the first browser to implement this was... IXI Mosaic, in early 1994. I think it was my suggestion. Remarkably I have a screenshot from October 18, 1994 that shows it.

Some earnest chin-stroking here from the BBC reporter when the answer obvious to everyone is that he's a thin-skinned racist misogynistic xenophobic narcissistic incompetent buffoon who surrounds himself with tangerine-tongued sycophants and doesn't give a shit. www.bbc.co.uk/news/videos/...

It's probably been done but I've done it again. Inspired by tonight's Channel 4 News interview in which Streeting appeared pixellated (not a euphemism).

BBC News seems to have lost all its internal navigation. I presume this is an accident. Maybe they laid off the person who turns the handle. One for @scottygb.bsky.social
