I dreamed that they were making a Newhart sequel series. It was now a dramedy mystery show with a Twin Peaks vibe, and the only actor returning was Darryl #2. Who can I pitch to make this a reality?

What was your #childhoodcinema ? I probably spent more time at the (long gone) Hilcrest 4, but my other childhood cinema, the Trail Theater in St. Joe MO, recently reopened as a rep movie house, showing classic films and hosting live events. Hope to catch a film there next time I visit home!

I made a conscious decision last year for my mental health to spend less time doomscrolling social media and do more reading. This is the result - all the books I read in 2025 - part 1!

In addition to watching a lot of Phineas & Ferb, I also did a rewatch of classic Doctor Who and 1980s sword & sorcery movies.

First movie was the Dr Who episode Arc of Infinity. Last was Hitchcock’s Vertigo. In between, the 50th movie logged was The Barbarians and the 100th was Dr Who: Spearhead from Space.

It’s Letterboxd wrap up time! Tim Curry was top actor and top director was Robert Hughes (who I had to look up to remind me who he was - he directed the Phineas & Ferb movies).

138 films logged, 224 hours. Most watched actor: Tim Curry. Most watched director: Robert Hughes

Scored this awesome “Middleman” poster at @okbjgm.bsky.social‘s garage sale last weekend. Even got to chat briefly with Javi himself, and he was just as cool as you would expect. (Oh, and be sure to check out his delightful podcast Multiplex Overthruster!)
