Although poet Don Moss was raised as a typical Southern Baptist, he has long been an Islamophile with an interest in religious history. We continue our month-long look at Malcolm X with his analysis of the Nation of Islam as an "attractive" distortion: www.automachination.com/contrast-nat...

Filipino poet & critic Ezekiel Yu read SO MUCH for his 3000-word review of Spike Lee's "Malcolm X". He provides context, history, & spicy 🥵 takes, including our shared disappointment in the film. (Nor are we alone on this.) Happy 100th birthday, Malcolm!!!! www.automachination.com/re-reviewing...

It was never democrats vs. republicans, that was just the cat & mouse game of the empire's structure. Du Bois was already saying "there is one evil party with two names." The empire was never our friend. We needed infrastructure our lives depended on not to be snatched from under us in its collapse.
