The federal minimum wage has been stuck at $7.25 for more than 17 years. That’s the longest period in U.S. history. And while the cost of living skyrockets, millions of us are forced to survive on the same $7.25/hr. It’s past time for legislators to put working people first and raise the wage! OMFG

They are of a class that has been trained to not view people in a different social class as them as people. They view us as appliances to serve their needs and are shocked we have opinions that aren’t the ones they are trying to feed us.

I think they are of a social class that views anyone less rich than them more like appliances or NPCs than as people. They don’t view Palestinians as people, and they act like American Citizens are a dishwasher that suddenly stopped washing the spoons the right way.

I think we like to pretend evil is ugly and unfriendly, when usually it presents very differently. Like the plantations in the south or redlining-the face of it was friendly people in nice clothing but the reality underneath was violent and awful. I feel the same way about Graham.

I would just like to brag that I took my dog to the vet and she didn’t try to bite the vet at all. Not even a little bit. Was she on heavy tranquilizers? Yes. Did it take five years to get to this point? Also yes. But she did a thing that was very hard for her and I am very proud.

The BBC’s decision to air racial slurs while editing out someone yelling free Palestine feels the same way. The decisions they made about what to air and where to seat the man with Tourette’s was a lot more about them looking inclusive than actually being inclusive.
