There are two types of lego builders: 1. The ones that lay pieces out in neat piles according to size & colour 2. The monsters who dump the entire bag out in a pile & wade through the pieces like they're searching for the treasures of El Dorado #lego #legocommunity #legocollection #LEGOStarWars

I think there's a distinction between mood and genre definitely. I also think that can be applied to fantasy as much as it can to other genres when distinguishing between mood and subgenres.

010

V.C. Willow 🏳️‍🌈📚🪐🪄😱 @authorvcwillow.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Can't disagree. However, while using broad genre descriptions will be beneficial at increaing the market share of readers who are interested in your book(s), sub genres can indicate specifically to your audience where your book lies within that genre.

I promise you, the things you regret are the ones you were too afraid to attempt. Write that book, take up that hobby and go for that opportunity being dangled in front of you. You never know the wonderful places it might lead you to. #WritingCommunity #Writing #BeBrave

Pretty sure I understand my own point and view better than random stranger on the internet. As a queer woman who has advocated for LGBTQ+ and human rights for 30 years one can do two things at a time. We can continue to fight homophobia while still advocating for others human rights

78 years of wars, invasion & terrorism by Israel has shifted Israel to the far right. MIsinformation, disingenuous arguments & verifiable lies further radicalise zionists Only Israel & Palestine can resolve this by returning Palestinian land Asking everyone else to not interact with your bs further

V.C. Willow 🏳️‍🌈📚🪐🪄😱 @authorvcwillow.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

We were talking about LGBTQ+ rights & Palestinians so yes it is whataboutism The UN, genocide scholars, human rights groups, numerous charities, 1000s witnesses on scene aspress/doctors and large numbers of governments say it is ethnic cleansing. Israel forced war since their occupation in 1948

Oooh good list As a personal preference I think Rope, 39 steps, North by Northwest and Rear Window would have to be higher up on my list. Although I haven't seen foreign Correspondent or Shadow of a Doubt for example. I can feel a Hitchcock season coming on. Happy viewing

V.C. Willow 🏳️‍🌈📚🪐🪄😱 @authorvcwillow.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

Your logical fallacy is whataboutism. But it's worth noting that hamas/Hezbollah≠Palestinian and the oppressed do not have to disarm when they are being ethnically cleansed, murdered, tortured, kidnapped and facing genocide. By your logic Israel hasn't disarmed and plan to do it again. So...

Palestinians ≠ hamas Plenty of ultra far right Christian nations kill and torture LGBTQ+ people. The "rockets" are not going only one way

Plus they don't because A) no group is a monolith B) Propaganda talking points are without intellectual or moral value C) There are as many LGBTQ+ Palestinians as there are in any other nation/group D) Human Rights are not conditional even if A - C were not in play

"LGBTQ+ wouldn't be tolerated in Palestine. Why are you supporting people who hate you?" Because human rights & international laws - against apartheid, genocide & persecution - are not conditional on whether people like us, they are universal principles Never Again, means never again for everyone

If you ever worry Brits are too serious or reserved, ask us about our politics where a man dressed as a bin got 9,000 votes to be a member of our Parliament in a by-election. Brits love a bit of anarchy and an underdog who rinses establishment rubes. May the Count be forever standing for election.

Writers and editors are human - mostly, which means that there will always be some typos and grammatical errors that slip through the process of writing and editing drafts. The trick is to catch as many as possible and enough that it doesn't interfere with the reader's enjoyment of your book.

Spectacular red hued moon last night driving back from Newcastle. Much "fun" was had when they closed the A1 & A19 but didn't put up diversion signs. No one updated Google about the road closures, so some old style navigating ensured. The bonus was the moody photo capture of last night's moon.

Alright and all right are both correct. It can mean it's ok, well, satisfactory/ily. All right can also be used as an adverb and a discourse marker. Both would be correct uses in Fantasy. Link to Cambridge Dictionary: dictionary.cambridge.org/grammar/brit...

Sylvia Plath doesn't talk about her Iranian years. It wasn't the best years of her life so she put it in the bell jar and never talked about it. But come the fuck along. Common sense alone tells you the and is the conjunction joining two subjects and not a secondary descriptor of the subject!
