about the experience of people (most of us!) who have survived/overcome/are continuing to grapple with "dark themes" in our lives and what it feels like to essentially hear "I'm not interested in reading about that." Again, everyone has a right to choose what they want to read and/or represent, 2/🧵

#amquerying authors whose stories have darker themes- as one of you, I've received several query passes specifically citing the dark theme as the reason for the pass. I know it isn't for everyone, and that's okay. But it's made me wonder /🧵

Is it just me or is Pinterest coming on reallyyy strong lately? Like yes, I did click that picture, but it’s not the only thing I ever want to see again. I’m here to think I’m finding all these great images via my artistic prowess and superior taste. Don’t ruin the illusion, bestie. Less is more. 🫶

I regret to inform my writing goals that I just spent two hours looking at vintage cream and sugar sets on etsy (but highly recommend nippon porcelain if you're looking for a good time)

I wasn't able to be as active during #2025pit as I wanted, but I saw some great pitches and added to my growing TBR. 👀 Thank you for the support! And dang, I just really love coming up with new ways to pitch my story.
