They don’t mind female dominated field as long as men are at the top or reap the rewards. But books written by women and for women - no, thank you. (I also suspect they hate the inclusive nature of the book community.)

Here’s the quiet part: Society belittles romance lit, indie authors, and books in general because these spaces are largely populated by women. Though women hold the purse strings in general, this is one field where they also create the product. And society hates that.
