One of the things I’m infinitely grateful for is that in the morning, when the world starts rushing, I get to stand in the patio for ~15 minutes, watching the sky and clouds change as the sun rises. And sometimes, it’s a true spectacle of shapes and colors.

There are days when being an author is hard. When you scream into the void, and it doesn't even acknowledge you, let alone scream back. But there are also days when a friend sends you a link to a post like this one… If you're reading my books till your eyes go squirrely, that alone makes my day.

Text: My other joy is @joanna and her books. I followed one of her links and bought three of her books and just opened the third book of the series. Read the second to the point my eyes went squirrely yesterday. Need to take more breaks. But while I have many ebooks and paper books, I needed something that was not doom and gloom. This is my way of coping.

The man lying deeper in the alley was likely too drunk to help her if the puddle under him didn’t bother him enough to get up.
As she approached, Nyraleth cursed and adjusted her assumption. The man wasn’t drunk. He was dead, and the puddle was his own blood. He lay on his back, his calm face contradicting the carnage that started below his jawline.

Tuesday is here, and we have to face it… Hopefully with enough tea (or coffee, if you prefer) to help you make it through the day. Nyraleth definitely needs her daily dose to survive traveling.

Nyraleth held back her “I know” as she carefully measured a dose of tea. Her stock was dwindling, and it fueled that constant frustration that accompanied her when traveling. Hopefully, Fairtown would have a decent herbalist shop or two, and she could replenish her supplies. Traveling without tea would make this whole journey a wound with twice the salt than it already had. Now on Kickstarter.

Sanguine Scenario has another great review, and Alexandra highlights the aspect that is always very important in my stories: characters being competent and confident in their skills, making what they think are best decisions based on what they know.

Review by Alexandra: The characters feel more relatable than your standard fantasy MCs, and I CANNOT EMPHASIZE COMPETENCY ENOUGH. It was a breath of fresh air to see the story progress well because they would communicate and make informed decisions. Its a weird thing for me to latch on to, but it made this so enjoyable for me. The characters still feel their anger or sadness or frustration, but they regulate in the moment to make sure their plans are successful... and i ate that right up.
