They've been creating a generation of ICE orphans, and they've apparently "lost" hundreds (possibly thousands) due to ICE not keeping records of where them or their families were sent. I mean, did we ever find out where everyone in Alligator Alcatraz was sent after it was closed down?

He and his 7-year-old brother were passed from a cousin to two family friends. For a time, the toddler was sick in a trailer with no heat, with a caregiver who was afraid to take him to a doctor.

Two-judge panel majorities of Trump appointees have halted the inquiry four times since. In April, Judges Neomi Rao and Justin Walker told Boasberg to terminate it.

From the bench that evening, Boasberg talked about turning the planes around. The government later said then-DHS Secretary Kristi Noem decided not to. He found probable cause of criminal contempt in April 2025.

On March 15, 2025, Boasberg ordered a halt to removals under the 1798 Alien Enemies Act. Two planes of Venezuelan men had already taken off. The planes continued to El Salvador, where the men were held in the CECOT mega-prison.
