What a strange newsletter subject when the email doesn’t mention Lionsgate, the Detroit Lions, or any kind of lions and is actually about content marketing.
An email subject that reads: It's the Lions Gate Friday Round-Up!

This suit looks so good. Are you kidding me?! I refuse to be normal about this.
Tom Holland in a modified version of his Spider-Man suit from No Way Home on a soundstage.

The red is more like Andrew Garfield’s ASM2 suit, the raised webbing is likely from the Raimi Spidey movies, and the longer spider emblem is a mix of all three Spider-Man emblems.

I sat down with the brilliant @alisechaffins.bsky.social (her 6th time on the show!) to dig into The Bear Season 4. We get into Carmy's "apology tour", that intense finale, and whether a Season 5 is even a good idea. $3 Patrons and up can stream it below! www.patreon.com/posts/early-...

So, now that the HBO Max branding is back, do I get rid of the old one?

The Social Network (2010) My intro to David Fincher’s filmography. A blend of documentary and fiction, this is probably the best look we’ll ever get at the formation of any social network or tech company. Also, the cinematography and writing is S-tier.

Austin Belzer @austinb.media · 16/11/2024
The Dark Knight (2008) This blew me away in theaters. Outside of The Batman, this remains the best Batman movie I’ve seen to date.

Hello there, I’m Austin! 👋🏻 I’m a journalist, critic, and probably the most realistic version of Peter Parker. Most days, I can be found writing about movies, and TV shows, with the occasional interview or podcast episode thrown in there.

Another Round (2020) This movie encapsulates what it’s like to watch someone make all the wrong choices, but not wanting to step in or look away.
020
Austin Belzer @austinb.media · 16/11/2024
The Green Knight (2021) The psychedelic visuals & stupendous acting make for one of the best medieval fantasy films I’ve ever seen.
010
Austin Belzer @austinb.media · 16/11/2024
Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) Other than the fact that this movie absolutely delivers on all aspects, it’s exactly the kind of apocalyptic wasteland I picture whenever those two words are sandwiched together. Plus, the car combat reminds me of Twisted Metal.
020
Austin Belzer @austinb.media · 15/11/2024
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) If you’ve seen the movie, you know why I love this movie. If you haven’t, please go watch it if you’re a Spidey fan.

Austin Belzer @austinb.media · 15/11/2024
Interstellar (2014) I’m a huge science nerd. And given that this came out when NASA was no longer funding interstellar missions. So, in short, this always hits all the right notes.
010
Austin Belzer @austinb.media · 15/11/2024
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017) Besides the fact that it’s set in my home state, it captures the Midwestern spirit vividly and has some great performances from its entire cast.

Austin Belzer @austinb.media · 15/11/2024
Tick, Tick…Boom! (2021) A love letter to Sondheim, musicals, and renowned playwright Jonathan Larson, it’s everything my high school theater brain loved. More of these types of projects please.
020
Austin Belzer @austinb.media · 15/11/2024
The Nice Guys (2016) This slapstick detective story is just perfect. Rowe and Gosling play against type for one of the best comedies of the 2010s.
030
Austin Belzer @austinb.media · 15/11/2024
The Lobster (2015) What a delightfully weird movie and probably the only Yorgos Lanthimos film that I’ve liked. It’s such a brutally honest look at an introverted romance.
020
Austin Belzer @austinb.media · 15/11/2024
Marriage Story (2019) As a child of divorce, this film hit me like a pile of bricks. Never before had a movie captured the hurricane of what it feels like from start to finish.
020
Austin Belzer @austinb.media · 15/11/2024
Toy Story (1995) I’ve watched this too many times to count. Not only because it’s a fun time, but the core theme of accepting our flaws and using them to be a better person struck a chord with me.
020
Austin Belzer @austinb.media · 15/11/2024
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (2010) As funny as it is, it’s got a great romance and nerd culture references at its core that are the reason why my Patreon tiers are named after characters in the film.
020
Austin Belzer @austinb.media · 15/11/2024
Starring Jerry As Himself (2024) I won’t spoil the premise for you, but this is one of the best recent blends of a documentary and thriller.
020
Austin Belzer @austinb.media · 15/11/2024
WALL•E (2008) I actually just watched this this week. A great tale of capitalism run rampant, our dependence on technology, and romance.
