Austin Brass @austin716.bsky.social · 20/08/2026Its early in the process, but Zhilkin has that Victor Eklund feel to him coming into the season: competitive and willing to get to the dirty areas, theres skill there but still has some development, but youd bet on the way he plays the game and how all the tools mesh for him to be effective 010
Austin Brass @austin716.bsky.social · 14/08/2026The conversation surrounding Alexis Joseph is picking up. Austin Brass @austin716.bsky.social · 13/08/2026I wrote this almost three weeks ago. Adding in the Hlinka to this, I don't think much has changed between what I saw at the end of last year and where he is right now after the Hlinka 010

Austin Brass @austin716.bsky.social · 24/06/2026The more I watch Beckett Hamilton (21), the more convinced I am that I ranked him too low. He did EVERYTHING for his junior team. He led the dataset in shot attempts/60 and was a one-man offensive show who was tenacious on pucks defensively. 010
Austin Brass @austin716.bsky.social · 24/06/2026I always came away from Adam Goljer's games (22) is that he's able to win puck battles, and will challenge players in transition and force them wide. Puck management has some development still, but a late birthday and a played the the majority of games against men will help him continue to develop. 000
Austin Brass @austin716.bsky.social · 24/06/2026Probably the most fun clip of Niklas Aaram-Olsen (17) I have and the most fun viewing was the u18 game against Germany where he scored twice within the last minute and a half to tie and then win the game for Norway. Just a laser beam of a shot. 000
Austin Brass @austin716.bsky.social · 24/06/2026I'll be honest: I didn't clip many for Juho Piiparinen. He was just so steady in my viewings and played a simple game as a RHD against men. This isn't the greatest example of transition defense, but it does show his offensive breakout strategy of carrying to a point and then feeding his outlet 000
Austin Brass @austin716.bsky.social · 24/06/2026Every year I end up with a player I love more than everyone else. This year, that player is Chase Harrington (26 in clips). He's got puck-skill, good mobility, is physical as all hell, and leads my dataset in dangerous shot attempts per 60. However, if I gave you his summation clip, it's this one 100
Austin Brass @austin716.bsky.social · 24/06/2026I got into my feelings with this one. Look, I ranked Chase Reid higher than Bjorck. Chase Reid is the logical choice if he's available. Just...hear me out on why Bjorck would be special wearing the Blue and Gold 000

Austin Brass @austin716.bsky.social · 24/06/2026I have no idea if/when Wiggo Sorensson goes in 2026 NHL draft. Playing Division 2 for most of the year, he exploded in the u18s to go from a fun story to a legit chance to be a mid-round player (22). He's nifty in everything offensive that he does. 000
Austin Brass @austin716.bsky.social · 24/06/2026Look....at 4th overall the Sabres have the OUTSIDE chance to take Stenberg if the Sharks go Reid and the Canucks go nepotism. I love Villeneuve but I can get him at 20...hell maybe 45. Reid would make the most sense if he fell, but holy hell I'd freak the f*ck out if we took Viggo Bjorck 100
Austin Brass @austin716.bsky.social · 24/06/2026Vsevolod Matveyev (93) is in an adjacent archetype as Vertti Svensk: a highly mobile defender whose skating is the going to give them a shot to maybe play in the NHL. Unlike Svensk though, Matveyev has a ways to go in utilizing his speed to become an offensive weapon. An example of good: 000
Austin Brass @austin716.bsky.social · 24/06/2026The physicality of this play is not a hallmark of Beckham Edwards (81) game, but the motor and compete level is what caused me to rank him He gives a hard hit in the corner and then tracks back to break up a transition two seconds later 100
Austin Brass @austin716.bsky.social · 24/06/2026Evan Jardine (10) was one of my highest risers from where he began the year to where he finished the season. His combination of mental processing and efficient skill saw him thrive alongside Jack Hextall in Youngstown. 100
Austin Brass @austin716.bsky.social · 24/06/2026Im really hoping the delay of Zach Benson signing an extension is because hes trying to decide which crayon from his 128 pack hes going to sign it with 020
Austin Brass @austin716.bsky.social · 23/06/2026Vertti Svensk (7) might be one of the more interesting mid-round swings in the draft. Just a high-octane skater who is able to move pucks with his feet and is aggressive in the way he attacks offensively. A good summation clip his skating followed by where he needs to develop once he hits the zone 100

Austin Brass @austin716.bsky.social · 22/06/2026Im doing a mock draft and I f*cking hate the people like these things. Ottawa needs like everything now and someone is going to yell at me for taking Tynan Lawrence 000
Austin Brass @austin716.bsky.social · 21/06/2026Braidy Wassilyn (66) is going to be one of the more interesting players to follow over the course of the next few years. He flashes some really good skill, but the puck touches are too few and far between. He has the skill to drive more, and I like his 200 foot game, but he needs more puck touches. 000
Austin Brass @austin716.bsky.social · 21/06/2026Landon Nycz (13 in clips) is a mobile, big LHD who played in the NCAA this year and held his own defensively. The big question is going to be his transition game. When it looks good, he looks like a 2nd round pick who projects to a shutdown role on in your middle-pairing 100
