The Australian Entomological Society was saddened to hear of the death in June 2025 of popular entomologist Bob Taylor and is grateful to Ajay Narendra for bringing his passing to the attention of the Society. An obituary is being prepared for the November issue of Myrmecia.

Saw a talk about this at @austentsoc.bsky.social a couple of years ago. Such an amazing adaptation! It requires a lot of work per trap but is so incredibly effective that it's worth it for the spider. 🧪
