Ok Fabula Ultima is automatically peak for this

Piece from a spreadsheet in the Fabula Ultima core rulebook outlining rare armour items. This is for a Maid Uniform, which is represented in a pixelated icon that shows a fairly standard black and white maid uniform, complete with frills.

It costs 800z, adds a +1 to DEX die rolls, a +2 to INS die rolls, and -2 to initiative rolls. Its effect reads as follows, ‘When a potion or magisphere created with your Inventory Points restores Mind Points, it restores 5 extra Mind Points.’

It’s actually pretty cool how these forearms work, it’s really similar to how plate arms are put together There’s a strip of loop velcro on the inside, and the elbow pads have this tape with hook velcro that comes down the forearm. When you attach the forearms to it, it stops them flapping around

Forgot to mention this but the elbow shells for my jacket are here now ^^ Happy to tank bruises, the pain isn’t the problem for me. You want to protect the cartilage as best as you can given the arthritis risk from repetitive hits there

Happy to say that I will officially return from my hiatus when my new armour is rigged, in ~ mid November! I already announced it in my Discord last night, but figured I’d let you lot on socials know as well. Please see the attached images for further details ^^.

Hi! Some of you may know me as Durendal. Others, Gramr. Some might remember me when I still called myself Excalibur. However, I’ve had a bit of a reshuffle with my branding! Auncell is the name I will be sticking with.

I have had a long think over the past few days, weighing up things like the impending long dark after I’m done with my LARP event next weekend, and I’ve decided that my formal return from hiatus will be when my new armour is finished in **November!** Currently, the ETA for the rigged model is the 15th, which is just shy of two months as of today.

I look forward to seeing you lot again after so long away from streaming, and I hope we’ll get even more new faces with time ^^.

I do not have a debut planned for my return. I’ll just be coming back like I went to fetch milk and cigarettes. I may do one in the future! But, it’ll be when I feel the time is right.

I also realise I never really left my server, even if I’ve been away from streaming since before I left with my family to go on the Orlando trip.

In the meantime, if you’re at VeXpo, I’m still attending! Happy for anyone I know here to come say hi if you happen to be there.

Oh, and if anyone records the longsword tournament at my club at the end of this month, I’ll show you lot some of my bouts. One of the guys did record the last one I competed in, but he never posted them in the group chat. Shame, because there were honestly some really good exchanges and I’ve come a long way since I started fencing.

Alright, so, some news!

- I can’t do VC tonight. I just remembered that I have a PF2E oneshot to play. We’ll do it tomorrow night though!

- My artist is COOKING omg, like you don’t know how good the final armour is looking, it’s easily gonna be the best one yet

- I’ve been writing drafts for the prologue Chapter of my lore!
The opening is a sort of short poem, which uhhhhhhhh you can interpret however you wish, until the prologue is finished.
For basic context, though, Hobbs’ Tower is a Gaol Tower. But why would a Gaol Tower have glass windows at the top? Makes you think, doesn’t it?

• I’ve been so focused on these developments that the HEMA zatsudan may have to be postponed again, unfortunately, if only to give me more time to preen the script. But I suppose I won’t be seriously back to streaming until my new harness is finished ^^, which will be another few months yet. It’s due in November. The .cmo3 for the model got lost after all.

Since @akimoto888.bsky.social is officially making my new armour now, I can share the full sketch I drew, as it’s complete!

A historically-informed fantasy armour reference I drew with various annotations, and a 15th century hand-and-a-half sword sidearm. It is fashioned after a loose collection of European armour styles, such as Gothic, Italian and English styles, in various places.

- The cuirass has an overall English style shape, with jagged cusping on the plackart and a repeated scalloped pattern on the fauld lames, as well as a bell-shaped construction with the fauld. The tassets hang straight down in front of the legs, on white leather straps. The cuirass also features a blue belt/strap closure around the waist, common on German or Gothic harnesses. A large spur-shaped gold rivet keeps the plackart bolted to the breastplate, with a white leather strap passing through it that leads to the clavicle.
A fantasy blue hood with gold trim sits on the cuirass’ shoulders.

- The 3/4 arm harnesses are fluted in the English style, with prominent ‘barley twists’ on the rerebraces that travel in singular directions, and chevron fluting on the vambraces. The couters are fashioned on a pattern resembling dragon wings, and gold laces tie the arms together.

- The leg harness bears two separate wings on the cuisse: An avian, feathered wing on the outside of the thigh, and a dragon wing on the inside.

- The pauldrons are asymmetrical, with the right pauldron being Italian in nature (having a serrated, fluted gardbrace) though with an anachronistic hautepiece, and the right one being English, with a fluted gardbrace of lustrous golden metal, again fashioned into a draconic wing.

- The helmet is a fantasy idea combining an early 15th century armet (such as the one seen in the Getty Manuscript of the Fior di Battaglia) with that of a dragon’s jaw motif on the visor, and a partial wrapper plate that leaves the right side of the face bare whilst protecting the left.

- A relief depicting two dragons fighting is attached to the left pauldron via a tied rope.

Haha onion This one is more of a shitpost but here’s an onion-topped grand bascinet ^^ Idea came about from a convo I had with @syrnobody.bsky.social the other night, and I realised we had loads of onion-topped English style helmets, save grand bascinets, so here’s what I think one could look like

A hypothetical/joke design for a grand bascinet helmet with a fluted ‘onion’ spiral top. The decorative symbolism - including the fixing for the wrapper plate - is also onion themed, with an inscription reading ‘Caepa’ (Latin for onion) across the brim of the helmet.

I almost forgot, I kind of fanboyed yesterday because I bought a signed copy of Graham Turner’s book on the Wars of the Roses ^^

I consider Tewkesbury to be one of the /best/ history festivals on the planet hands down, yesterday was absolutely worth withstanding 30 celsius for

Richard, Duke of Gloucester (who would later be known as Richard III) takes the field alongside his retinue. His men can be identified by their livery bends, the sashes worn on their cuirasses. These bear a white boar; Richard’s trademark.

I haven’t been transparent about why I haven’t been streaming over the past 4-5 months so here it is TL;DR, Twitch’s agegating pretty much tanked my motivation to make content. But I haven’t mentioned that since I don’t want people to feel sorry for me when my circumstances are a drop in the bucket

I haven't come clean about why I haven't been streaming lately, but I think 4-5 months of nothing isn't fair on you lot. I'm ready to address it (using the @/everyone ping for this, since I consider it important):

So you probably noticed that my activity dropped way off after my country's government decided to start throwing out age checks right? Twitch decided to start agegating streams and you'd need to give ID to be able to watch certain streams in my home country, unless you use a VPN to get around it.
The long and short of it is, one day, I was checking back one of the VODs for a stream (it was Baldur's Gate 3), and it agegated *my own fucking stream*. I did use a VPN while I was streaming, but the traffic was genuinely awful. If you remember, we had severe technical difficulties because of the VPN, and I ended up having to call it off.

I am not going to be giving a scan of my face to a corporation that may be lying about whether or not they will store the data. Given that they might be banning/restricting VPNs here next, I'm not sure paying for a better VPN would be worth the trouble long-term.
I can't use the tags to keep my streams 18+ because of this so I'm not sure what the future of the channel will be. **I don't want to retire since I feel like I've barely started, and this shit will not hold me back unless there's no way around it.**

Yes, I'm aware that you have to give ID to Twitch for affiliate onboarding. I am fortunate enough to say that I'm not interested nor worrying about monetising my content in the near future, so I have absolutely no reason to give them my ID.

I hate being open about this stuff since I don't want people to feel sorry for me over something that a lot of people have been affected by. I thought you lot should know why I've been cancelling everything.

I think my long term goals have never been about numbers but really, just my own interests I put a whole dragon design off for a while, given it’d be hard to find artists, but I finally got a copy of Rage of Bahamut from CEX and I’ve been watching it. I think I’m ready to give it a shot ^^

Hi! I’m planning on coming back to regular streaming (~1h 30 mins each) every Friday evening! We might have more and/or longer streams in a week eventually, but since I haven’t been active for a while, I’m pacing myself ^^. I’ve been returning to a lot of hobbies lately, skiing, lifting etc.

A pair of unbuckled Salomon 120 flex ski boots on a hard floor in a staging/changing area for an indoor ski slope. The shell is made of light silver plastic, the liner lining and power straps are a strong blue colour, and the latches and levers on the cuff/toe buckles are grey with black rungs. The instep buckles are black. All buckles are accented with blue fastenings.

Oh yeah it doesn’t show unless you stand the feder up, but ‘standard’ (by modern competition standards) feders are tall The batch the shop got sent was supposed to be short handles & short blades, turns out they were standard. The longer handle’s better for how I fence, so I ended up keeping it ^^

Hey! Just a quick one, my 27th birthday was last Friday! I never announced it here until now since I don’t tend to post on public social media so much haha ^^’ I’m gonna be going on a two-week holiday on the 23rd. Should be back in early May!
