I've seen loads of articles of parents stressing and monitoring/tracking their kids at uni. This is what happens when you don't allow your kids to have any freedom before leaving home. It's so unhealthy. You can't protect kids forever and you also aren't helping them.

Nigella is 100% right about salt. I always bake cakes/biscuits/scones with salted butter. Fat/salt/acid applies to baked goods too! And not one person has ever said they've tasted salt (unless it's salted caramel of course).

I took this photo in Edinburgh yesterday - the castle on the hill, the clock tower, the old streets.

A local told me that J.K. Rowling wrote Harry Potter here in Edinburgh, and that's why millions of tourists come here now.

He said Victoria Street is the real Diagon Alley, and Edinburgh Castle inspired Hogwarts, and even the Balmoral Hotel is where she finished the last book?

Is that true? Or did Edinburgh already famous before Harry Potter?

We were at a beautiful restaurant in L'Ametlla De Mar. Everything in the town was meat/fish. At the time I'd been a vegetarian for 20+ years. So I drank a litre of white sangria, ordered the sea bass & then cried/apologised to it whilst eating it. Because it tasted so good.

I've had to deliver Child Protection training for work. I've not done it for ages & I was dreading it. I'm getting such lovely feedback (anon too so no reason to suck up!) It was called benefical & refreshing. All because it was actually tailored for ND children. Generic training doesn't work!
