Top row, left-to-right: a Byronic handsome man in black, a palace, a dark figure burning in hell fire, a masked female assassin of dark complexion holding a dagger, a serpentine forest trail at night marked with red flowers.
At the center next to a silver plume is the text: “This world, my dear, is the slaughterhouse of noble ideals.”
Bottom row, left-to-right: a dark gaslit street, a gaslit city blanketed in coal smog at night, a young woman in a Victorian gown, wrought-iron gates opened to a foreboding foggy estate in the dark, a trail of red petals leading to a dark stone temple gate.

Excerpt:
A gaunt mouse nibbled greedily at a stale bread roll left on my lunch tray. I didn’t have the heart to give her a name as I might lose her too.
The lingering scent of mud and mildew hung in the air, a long-forgotten tomb. I clenched my jaw to keep my teeth from chattering. The bed’s cast iron rods dug into my ribs through the thin mattress. The medications I was forced to swallow left a cotton taste in my mouth and a dull ache in my skull. The faded floral pattern of the peeling wallpaper was my only reminder of life beyond these walls.
I pulled the threadbare blanket tighter around my body, hugging my knees to my chest. It did little against the chill creeping into my bones. The raging blizzard had transformed the courtyard into a churning white sea, rattling the broken window shutters hanging askew. At least no screams echoed through the halls today.

JASAD HEIR X CURIOUS TIDES Maia must unravel a lifetime worth of secrets to understand the dangers that lurk around every corner—and she must do so before it’s too late. 🌊 Pacific Islander Rep 🌊 Elemental Magic 🌊 Endless Banter #QuestPit #W #YA #F #AgentsGuide

This image is the first of four to showcase elements for my upcoming book, Whispers of the Sea.

The picture reads: “An Agents Guide to Whispers of the Sea.”

This book will be a young adult fantasy.

This is the second image in my guide, and it includes the pitch for my novel.

Such pitch reads to say:

“Whispers of the Sea follows the story of a teenage girl who embarks on a journey to rescue her uncle after he was mysteriously captured by a group of uniformed men sailing under the royal flags of a faraway kingdom.

Maia must voyage across the seas to this mysterious isle where she’ll team up with a local boy to track her uncle’s whereabouts. But in order to understand the dangers that lurk ahead, she’ll be forced to uncover a lifetime worth of secrets—and she must do so before it’s too late.”

This is the third image in my guide, and it portrays my comp titles.

My book will be perfect for the fans of the Jasad Heir, A River Enchanted, Curious Tides, and the Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi.

This is the last image in my guide, and it showcases the aesthetic and a few elements that can be found in the book.

A few of these elements are: found family, secret ploys, outlawed magic, and self discovery.

Ive noticed A LOT of creatives doing the same thing, going through the motions “talking” about what they want with no action behind it. My goals started checking off once the work was behind it. Advocate for yourself. Listening to other ppl and podcasts don’t matter if you aren’t working on yourself

Hey #scriptsky and #screenwriters! I'll follow you guys anywhere! But for me to make connections and help my #newbies, I have to have one foot back in the blacksky place. I don't know how to manage both. I know I'll figure it out because I love our screenwriting community & want to see it thrive!
