recently i got a glass dip pen and inks of various colors and decided to ink a sketch i had made of a character based on the pfp i have on other places(not sure why i haven't changed it here. maybe i will idk)

scan of the drawing, it's a robot with some subtle bug-like features, sitting like some sort of creature

ngl i haven't heard of a single person having a good art fight this year.just so much harassment. and people getting exclusively attacks traced from characters' own refs. and bugs being exploited to break the site as "protest" for rules not being what they want. and more stuff i haven't looked into.

oh now they're spreading fake screenshots on tiktok and youtube of the art fight faq including a "minimum art quality guide" saying that "beginners will be banned". multiple youtubers with more subscribers than art fight had active users when i joined.

not allowing (and never having allowed) point farming in the form of slightly modifying the same image repeatedly for different attacks is not a personal attack or accusation of theft

imagine joining an art game's site just to have somewhere to upload art and instead of understanding that it is a game with rules and not a general-purpose art hosting site you think it is simply an art hosting site that arbitrarily decided some art is bad

[Insect] el wiwi (Don't worry, this lil fella was happily reintroduced to the foliage upon being found)

Picture of an incredibly tiny ladybird beetle with two red spots next to a human finger. Both are placed on a glossy surface upon which the reflection of a human figure is visible.

this is a topic i've been interested in for years and seeing people, especially this year, start to agree but approach it from a "things were better in the past" perpective and use it to say that years ago all this art was *unique* while now it's *bland* is. annoying.

youtube video about kinds of art styles that were popular at some point but not anymore and why goes to their channel to check first because always, without fail... ***many*** videos about "infamous internet art/arists". multiple seen in the thumbnails were "lol doesn't this young teen draw bad"
