… It also shouldn't be a shocker to hear that my primary focus atm is the FORT90 BROADCAST SYSTEM, which is currently being revamped cuz of reasons pertaining to why there's no VOD of the last broadcast, which would have included this banger (via youtu.be/hb2gdA4btgc)

Those who didn't tune into the FORT90 FILM CLUB two weeks ago (see www.wonderville.nyc/events/the-f...) missed the Donnie Yen all-timer SHA PO LANG, in which he plays a cop who goes too far when busting a criminal, so out of guilt, he gives money + plays KOF with him every week

There was actually a decent amount of game-adjacent content alongside (that I neglected to promote on this end, sorry about that, but again there's a replay), including footage of a gone but not forgotten classic NYC arcade I wrote about 20 years ago (omg; see web.archive.org/web/20210419...)

For those who weren't at the party two weeks ago were able to watch the video when I played during FORT90 TV this past Monday, and if you weren't around for that, there's the VOD (see kick.com/fortninetyte...), tho it goes down this coming Monday (or you can just watch it on YouTube I guess)

It was also my first visit to Vitamin (see playvitamin.com), and gotta say that it's about damn time NYC finally had a game culture focused gallery space (something I tried myself to get started over a decade ago, but that's a story for another time)…

As an advocate of extolling the virtues of game culture, I have thusly been a fan of @victoralonso.es's work for quite some time, so it was especially nice talking to the artist, and re: a wide range of topics (fave game centers, the difficulties of book publishing, etc)…

One last AnimeNYC highlight; I dug @zerotyranos.bsky.social's work the most & was crestfallen (yet not surprised) that their ASTRO Gaming Lifestyle Magazine was sold out (see zerotype.shop/products/ast...), hence the purchase after the fact online (hopefully my local USPS office doesn't destroy it)

One artist who made an especially strong impression on me was Gatonardo Da Vinci (see www.gatonardo.cl); the harsh reality of artist alleys these days is how one must now double-check to see if something is by AI or not, and this most definitely is not computer generated (plus I love cats)…

Another video game-adjacent "thing" from Monday's BEST OF FORT90 TV was the JennyFax 2020 S/S Collection (via attract-mode-collective.tumblr.com/post/1888133...); took 3 replays over 4+ years to cultivate an audience that finally got the appeal, but dammit, it finally happened

022

Attract Mode @attractmode.bsky.social · 28/07/2025

As previously noted, tonight's @wonderville.nyc broadcast (again www.wonderville.nyc/events/fort9...) is a showcase of classic cuts, and anyone who has kept track knows that I'm been slowly but surely replaying No Continue Kid; we're finally up to the 90s, when Virtua Fighter 2 reigned supreme

013

Attract Mode @attractmode.bsky.social · 28/07/2025

… And here's another thing that pertains to Jet Set Radio, tho I only just found out about, and once again since tonight is when I recycle older material, it won't make air until next week (so am placing it here as a reminder; via youtu.be/HLM7byBgr2o)

012

Tonight is another "BEST OF" broadcast (see wonderville.nyc/events/fort9...), which as one might have guessed is a focus on classic cuts, tho before I start promoting that, I should maybe share this trailer to the upcoming film adaption of Exit 8 from last week's vanilla edition of FORT90 TV…

113

Attract Mode @attractmode.bsky.social · 21/07/2025

… I also have this look at a collab btw Sega & a rollerblade label that's centered on Jet Set Radio, which I can't recall anyone else talking about, tho with so much noise & nonsense to sift through, it's hardly a shocker if everyone missed it (or if it's just me; via youtu.be/LFZI3EITzRA)
