The International Earth Rotation and Reference Systems (IERS) website is currently down, without explanation. It provides data needed for precision Earth-based astrometry, such as for the SuperNOVAS C/C++ library. Let's hope it comes back online soon... #astronomy

The embedded build compromises very little: you'll just have to set the time and Earth-Orientation Parameters (EOP) explicitly, instead of relying on the system clock, or fetching EOP from IERS automatically.

The SuperNOVAS C/C++ astrometry library just got another bug fix release (v.1.4.2). It updates the nutation models from the original IAU2000A to IAU2006 (a.k.a. IAU2000A_R06). Linux RPM and Debian packages are on their way also. #astrocode smithsonian.github.io/SuperNOVAS/
