The International Earth Rotation and Reference Systems (IERS) website is currently down, without explanation. It provides data needed for precision Earth-based astrometry, such as for the SuperNOVAS C/C++ library. Let's hope it comes back online soon... #astronomy

The SuperNOVAS C/C++ astrometry library just got another bug fix release (v.1.4.2). It updates the nutation models from the original IAU2000A to IAU2006 (a.k.a. IAU2000A_R06). Linux RPM and Debian packages are on their way also. #astrocode smithsonian.github.io/SuperNOVAS/

SuperNOVAS v1.3.1 (C/C++ astrometry library) has been released. It fixes a bug in the IAU2000 precession-nutation models. Fortunately, for dates near J2000 the errors were just a few micro-arcseconds. Linux RPM and Debian packages are on their way also... #astrocode github.com/Smithsonian/...
